How slow do you have to go???

So with this new ebay for retards how slow do you have to sell? I have had 2 stores suspended in recent days for selling too much. No counterfeit takedowns, no returns, no negative feedback. Just because i sold too fast. Had these accounts for just over a month. Had less than 2 grand in sales but had to add EIN because of the new $600 rule which is bull****. Both accounts had 1 thing in common which is that as soon as i sold multiples of 1 item the next day the account was suspended. So my question is how slow do you have to sell on ebay now to not get suspended. $200 a month? Less? Do they want only retards that list items but don't sell? I thought i was going extremely slow. Listing 1 item per week and not listing in quantities of more than 10.

Was the first couple items high value though?

Re: How slow do you have to go???

Not at all. Sold some t shirts and books as my first sales to ease in. Less than $10 per item. Then my usual items came in which are $50 or less. Last night made 6 sales, this morning account suspended.

Eb doesn't appreciate 10 quantity listings for new accounts. Aged account should work better. Slow down even more spread sales through multiple accounts until you gain Eb trust.

really? Even after waiting for say 2-3 weeks before he does a 10 item fixed price?

Re: How slow do you have to go???

Didn't even put 10 item listing. Doing 8 or 9 max. Ever since ebay started managed payments they have gotten even more strict. Since they control the money they are trigger happy to suspend. Everyone complained about paypal but now that ebay has all the power it's way worse.

2-3 Weeks for Multiple item listing just isn't enough time I think.

Re: How slow do you have to go???

Much better when ebay suspended account and i withdrew money from paypal, didn't ship items or pay seller fees. Left ebay holding the bag. Now it's payback time for ebay.

Re: How slow do you have to go???

Gonna have to open 30-40 accounts and list 2-3 items for a few months. Which isn't a huge issue but after $600 in sales you need to add EIN. Not looking forward to my accountant's bill when she has to process 40 corporations during tax season.

This is based on your recent experience? Or something else?

SilentHill 04-13-2022 12:47 PM

Re: How slow do you have to go???

Just how I do things based on my experience. Think its better to list 1 at a time ! Until trust is built !

It's pretty sad that it's a bad thing when you make sales.

Can you run me your method step by step?

I'm curious...

I'm a little on the aggressive side myself but I never had issues.

@silenthill is right. I’ve found that it’s best spread sales through multiple accounts. The lower you can sale on 1 account the better until you’ve met the experienced seller requirements 25/$250

Re: How slow do you have to go???

Well since you ask. I go to Eb make a small purchase ( Eb doesn't suspend buyers ) I checkout as a guest. I input all my details on the shipping information. I complete order. EB then ask if you want to complete setting up your account. It will only ask for password. Then I wait a few days even weeks. Turn to seller account. List my first product out of price range. Make sure it doesn' t sell. List 2nd and 3rd the same way gradually increasing price but not selling product ( and waiting 3 days in between products to list ) 4th Product I try to sell for a profit. Gradually increasing price for every other product. inputting all tracking information is very important. Once they raise your limits its a good indication that EB trust you.

Re: How slow do you have to go???

the problem with suspensions of newly registered accounts is easy to solve

ebay bots stop suspending ruthlessly after about 4-6 months , I know a guy who tested it with 50+ accounts. he listed some low risk items with real descriptions and photos , something like garden supplies etc. and then started selling copyright items in quantity after about 5 months

and it worked fine , most accounts are up and running

Do they just ask for receipts? I have not had any problems with MP so far but I have not made new accounts.

Typical control of EB! That is so stupid as we do this to make an income, yet not so much! And to talk about stupid, they removed an item that was supposedly "recalled" and after checking the recall list, it was not even the product they removed! Go Mercari!!

I called in and spoke to a rep for both accounts. Both said they don't see any reason why my account was suspended. They escalated the cases to there supervisors for reinstatement. On the reply 1 store i was asked for photo id, light bill and invoices. The other i haven't heard back.

Wow! 50+ accounts! Are these stealth or real details?
How on earth did this chap get 50+ plus bank accounts? Some people are real pros at this game even when faced with lots of challenges like the new MP procedure and rules.

It's not hard to have 50 bank accounts. Over time you'll have that much, just not all at once.

It’s not impossible, most banks let you open lots of sub accounts. And plus there’s lots of virtual banks now

I currently have 30+ with 6 banks (1 checking + 4 saving @ each). I was starting to run low on accounts with Paypal, but then manage payments happened, so now the 30 are back in business with Ebay/Ayden.
