New account suspension
 

Hi Guys,

Bit worried,
I've got an ebay account for years now and it's okay no issues.
I just made a new one with same details on a different browser (same ip) to list different items.
After 10 or so listings this was suspended and I was asked to contact support
After a short survey I was permanently banned
Should I be worried about my original account, considering the details are all the same!

Yes, your other account can get linked and banned. I would not recommend changing any details, like name or address. Save that info for another account. But you'll need to follow stealth protocols so eB doesn't track and link accounts. GL

plenty of info on why you might have gotten banned on the forums as well. New account, listed a bunch of items too fast, etc. eB's god awful these days with suspensions.

It's not a stealth account, I was hoping the original account would provide amnesty to the follow up account made using the same details
It even began with a 10k/1k limit so I assumed so.

They wouldn't link computer/ip wise however I'm just worried about the 2nd account being made with the same details, but essentially anyone could've done that?

Understood not stealth, OG account unlikely to provide any amnesty when eB links them with name, address, and same IP. Different browser will not help.

How can you claim account hacked or ID Theft with same IP?

Well let's just hope they won't ban you for it. Wait 3 days then 7 days...

You should not be banned. The second suspension was caused automatically by algorithm and contacting support is like rolling the dice. 2 identical setup accounts can get different outcomes by contacting support. You can create few more accounts, change your address details, phone, zip, and try again.

Seems underhanded and potential for bigger issues
