Reinstated after "Reactivate your account" What to do now?
 

Created my stealth account, Clean IP, real Phone, listed an old book I had after 30 minutes I was hit with the Reactivate your account, I reached out to the support over the phone, weirdly they asked me public record / Background questions, I answered them all, they reinstated my account, how long do I have to wait before listing now?

** oh and also the operator who sounded 100% American (Not the thick accent operators I usually get) Googled my address at the end to check if it was real or not , and if it was a business address. she even pulled it on google maps. that was a very weird call, either way I am reinstated, how do I proceed?

you can list again but may get a second suspension which would be indefinite

Ebay is not simple anymore, you cannot take shortcuts

You can’t just try to ask a ton of basic questions to sellers here and think you have enough info to succeed

You need to read the guide, read the forums, and keep making accounts until your method works

Already being flagged on a new account is not a good sign

Nice - as far as listing goes, you might as well slowly ease into selling ...otherwise account is useless, no?

Quick update from myself. I created 2 eBay accounts about a week ago. Listed my first item up had the reactivate message contacted eBay through live chat and my account was back to normal. My listing is now live first time in 6 months. I’ve added bank account savings account deposits not sent yet so not sure if bank will work but I do have current account which I’m saving for my other eBay account.

I didn't call a number, I picked the choice on the left panel where it says " Have Us call you" , I put my cell number that I used to sign up for eBay and the agent called me on it in less than 30 seconds of clicking on call me

The fact it's reinstated is a plus.

I'd say wait 2-3 days just to be extra careful and try again with just 1 listing?

Yes, I am planning to wait 2-3 days then I will relist the original listing that I had on the account.

What I want to underline is the they didn't ask me the regular questions of "what are you going to list, how many, do you have a supplier"
They went straight to identity verification .

I have just tried that. What specifically did you say? I’m going to try this. Did you solve it with the operator that picked up or did you have to speak with an advisor?

I spoke directly with the operator who called me and picked up the case, I told them straightforward the truth, I am selling junk around the house, they asked Background check Identity questions, questions only the real owner would be able to answer, I answered them, and they reinstated my account.

The thing is I’ve read on this forum that once an account is reactivated it doesn’t normally last a month before eventually getting suspended.

Has anyone succeeded with reactivating their account and not being suspended a month later?

if it's just the initial "they wanna chat with you" which is what this sounds like all accounts I know of have been ok

When you reactivate the account,
ONLY RELIST 1 item.
No new items for the next 20 days. Create ⊗⊗⊗⊗ orders for your account if you have to, just don't list anything new.
Then start slow as if you are a brand new seller who has never been on a computer before.

Thanks for this advice my account has been reactivated currently have 1 listing up as 7 day auction ending Monday it’s listed as pre owned. Can I list another pre owned item after the first listing sells or wait 20 days to list another listing? If it doesn’t sell can I re list it?

Guys I am trying to to find if it will be safer to browse for 30 days and then create selling account or would it be better to create selling accout right away ? What would be the best average time to wait before creating selling account?

I know others sell right away but I prefer browsing and "f*ke" bidding on low end stuff for about 2-4 weeks before listing

Reinstating the account is a good start but yeah would wait a little while before going ahead with anything else.

I’ve lost 7 accounts and only have 1 left. I’ll create a few more knowing what I know now :) It’s been hard getting back on but I feel like I’m edging closer and closer to being back on properly.

Names on eBay account and bank account don’t have to match eBay say it does but it doesn’t have to.

I’ll be using savings accounts from now easy to open and most accounts accept mismatch names without any issues.
