MC224 NOTICE: eBay Registration Suspension - Under age user
 

Hi,

I have been selling on my eBay account for the last 5 years. Using it as my main business account. I opened the account in 2004 when I was 16. eBay unexpectedly suspended my account because I violated their under age user policy. I'm now 34 this is ridiculous.

Is there any way to solve this? I don't want to lose my trust and 3000 feedback. They told me to just create a new account and the suspension cant be overruled.

ANy help is appreciated.

Ebay's advice is correct. The account is dead and your only option is to create a new one.

Under-age accounts have been mentioned a few times n this forum, I'm not aware of a single case where ebay changed their minds.

You can sort of see the predicament they'd be in if they decided to 'condone' such activity and it got into the hands of the authorities and/or the media.

Thanks for the response. What's my best options for getting the new account looking healthy quickly? Starting with 0 feedback and brand new doesn't look good

That is just how you have to start off

Its going to be bit of a slow process for the first 3 months as you age the account but then you can scale up a bit faster

In the mean time - well worth giving eBay a ring and seeing what they say

If you use all genuine details, selling legitimate wares then you have nothing to fear. Do it once, do it right. If its a long term proposition then create a business account from the outset.

As mentioned above, it's going to be a slow process but you'd be surprised how quicky you can generate a profitable account with a good selling allowance.

My advice is you open another account on your real name with new ip and user on the computer they may work or it may not but presumably your old account when it was suspended was on PayPal so your new account will be on managed payments and from my experience accounts suspended previous which were using PayPal and that were suspended previously can re register again without issues I’ve done this myself without any issues, it’s worth a try you’ve got nothing to loose.
