ebay perm banned.. but why?
 

hi all

so my stealth ebay just got perm banned. no reason why. its a new account and i sold roughly 1.5k within the month awaiting payouts. i got an email saying my account restricted all listings taken down. it siad contact them to get reinstated but i got told its a perm ban from buying and selling. it didnt say they linked me to another account.

My main has been perm banned from selling for around a year.

heres what i did exactly.

- friends personal details
- their email
- their address
- vpn IP
- my bank details

some stupid things which they may have traced my back from

- I did change the dispatch from/dispatch to my banned account address (this is not the main account address just where listings are sold from)
- i bought an item to increase feedback from my banned account
- used a debit card to purchase items from an ebay which has been banned before
- sold 1.5k worth of stuff pending payout (possible too high amount?)

One of those along may have been sufficient to make a link and/or ban an account.

All of them together....the account is well and truly toast.

Lesson learned. Never share any details with a banned account, absolutely nothing.

Wise words im guessing it cant be from the bank being mine right? i will take these lessons onto my next account

I agree with Hank I can see the issues with this account straight away. Changing the dispatch address to an old address which got banned is not recommended.

I wouldn’t buy items to build feedback only gain feedback from sales it doesn’t work I’ve tried this before and definitely not buy item from banned account.

Using the same debit card which was banned before is not a good idea.

The 1.5k turnover is not an issue because the account was your friends info unless they have no credit history I.E not on a credit report.

At least you know what to do now going forward.

It's possible it was the bank but given the list above I doubt it. Do stealth right and mismatched names isn't a big issue and can be circumvented.

The turnover wasn't the issue. The fact you linked it to the suspended address so soon was. New accounts are under the radar it's too risky to link it any way what so ever so early.

Sounds like you just started doing eBay , eh?
Alot of what you said you did will definitely raise flags.

My recommendation is to read the stealth guide to start.
Then before you make a new account, come back here and ask specific questions or just tell us what you are going to do to make the account so we can tell you yes or no.
