Ive recently been Vero'd by ebay. From what i understand Getting vero'd could be just a rival seller ratting you out to ebay. But anyways, After i use these steps to open a new account what are some steps to doge Vero members?

aspkin 10-16-2007 07:24 PM

It's best not to sale any items related to VeRO, I've found you can never win with Vero.

Chris Hanson 10-16-2007 07:34 PM

Mayne any item can be a vero. It doesnt matter. Thats like saying dont sell anything at all.lol

well is there anything that could help. Like 1 day listings or something? I sell NFL jerseys on there that i buy from china. I undertsand why ebay suspended me so i have no gripe there but i am selling these jerseys for like 40-60 each so i aint ripping off the customers because they know what they are buying. Thats how i got involved in selling them. i bought some and i loved the idea of paying $50 for a jersey that were pretty much identical then pay $250 for a real one.

lol the only thing that gets me is i have 45 feedback score and got bagged but i see people with hundreds and thousands of feedback scores selling the same items and they arent suspended...so i was thinking maybe there is something to it

Well we cant help you nor can you. Your selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ and your never going to last Good Luck

Killed by eBay, I have also wondered why others are permitted to sell "⊗⊗⊗⊗" while others get suspended. I was selling them for months before it caught up to me. I think all will eventually get bagged for selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗. I know a lot depends in how you "Title" your AD (Other factors too). I have played around with different titles and some items have lasted longer than others. I know there is huge profit with ⊗⊗⊗⊗ however it is morally wrong. If I was you, I would be more aggravated if my account got suspended because I was selling authentic items. There are people on this forum who have been suspended for other reasons. I also know being aggressive (Greedy) will get you bounced..(Speaking from experience)

There is no way around from been veroed. If they suspect that your item may be fraudulant will will be cancelled.
And any EB member can report you to EB Its up to EB to cancel your listing.

Vero

When it comes to ⊗⊗⊗⊗ jerseys, if they are Mitchell & Ness, you will be VEROed. Mitchell & Ness is part of the VERO Program and they really crack down on any jerseys that resemble theirs (so even if you don't use mitchell & ness in the descriptions), they will get you.

If you're selling Reebok jerseys, I know there has been a big crackdown on these Chinese ⊗⊗⊗⊗. But that's not VERO, that's just EBay pulling the listings themselves.

ebaykilla 10-17-2007 08:50 AM

I would learn from successful comp and look at how they list theirs then list it in a similiar fashion. If that dosen't work, then do 1 day auctions. If that dosen't work, then find a new product.

Ps:

It is my experience that the less you say the better off you will be. Let pictures sell the item.

arysmith 10-19-2007 06:51 AM

Absolutely, less is more. If they are counterfeit, the last thing you should do is mention the name of the manufacturer. That's why you still have ⊗⊗⊗⊗ Mitchell & Ness jerseys stilll out there. These sellers eliminate all references to Mitchell & Ness, including making sure that the jersey's mitchell & ness tag aren't visible, so that M&N legal can't VERO them.

newebayerwannabe 10-19-2007 08:31 AM

Lol. What if you had a disclaimer?

Chris Hanson 10-19-2007 11:43 AM

funny thing is that there is an auction up and running right now and the seller is stating that hey my items is ⊗⊗⊗⊗ and a replica. Why pay more for the real thing. he also has his real name, phone number and email in the listing. Now why hasnt it been taken down yet??? Who knows..

And the vero member is active! that trickles me

arysmith 10-19-2007 01:26 PM

Obviously a counterfeit is still a counterfeit and you can't disclaim authenticity.
