Buyer Account Suspended With $200 Gift Card Balance Still On It
 

So I bought a $200 ebay gift from CVS loaded it up into my ebay buyer account, and a few days later ebay suspended the account. I don't care about the account but what happens to my $200? well I contacted support via the chat method and they kept giving me the circular responses. They never said "Your money is gone forever sorry" nor did they ever address my concern of how they hell I'm supposed to be reimbursed. Anyone know if it's possible to get that back. Would be pretty pointless to open a court case over $200 so I'm checking in with your guys first. If I bought the card with my credit card, I could file a dispute with the card company. I can't remember though I will have to check my statements as this was a while back.

i would first try to give them a phone call - tends to be better results.

Well I was going to do that until I read the responses people stated they received when something similar happened to them. So I figured I'd skip that step and get straight to the offensive if there is such. Here's a Link of some success with ebay in Australia. I don't know the US counterpart to that Australian method. I would assume the BBB, or the CFPB. Here's a sad case of someone from the USA who appears to haven't gotten any success calling them. WARNING EBAY COMMUNITY LINK.

Step skipping...

Same issue happened to two separate accounts of mine as soon as I entered the gift cards from this one 7 eleven $200 and $40 on another account they both where frozen. They said I had to upload photos of the cards .receipt and I did but than they kept me in cycle of your account is banned and they can't refund me...but my account was banned because of the cards...so it's like a cycle of passing me around to different reps for hours and nothing. I'm planning on a civil case just to show them in not the guy. I have all my proofs.

They might be stealing money?

The same 7 eleven was a victim of a card swipe scam 2 months later. Maybe when the cards where activated some how got hacked doesn't make sense I used them no more than 1 minute later when I sat outside in the car. They immediately balanced to 0 and accounts blolocked on 2 separate occasions. The reason I tried again was cause I really wanted to buy this item. I used a whole new phone...a whole other account not to link them. The other account was just 40 bucks and never sold anything from it. Perminanatley banned that ssn from a relative. I tired opening another one but it blocked that 2? So I'm confused. Why ban for nothing

Never was banned. It was my real account??? On my real ip....real id...real bank account. I already reported this to bbb and will pursue it in civil court for the principal. Why? Cause I have the skills to let them know that I won't get stepped on.

It is not Nothing,it is the same old you Ebay is banning
