MC011 We restricted your account, but invoices are old
 

Hello,

I own a US-based business and have been selling for 8 years in Amazon and 2 years in Walmart.

I recently found some inventory and listed it on eBay for sale. The product is a toy bought back in 2018. The toy is big and bulky, and prices lagged when I bought them, so I just stuffed it in the back of a warehouse.

My eBay account is over 10 years old, but mostly used it for buying business supplies.

Anyhow, after 18 unit sales ($100 per unit), I receive a MC011 informing me about the suspension of my account.

eBay is requesting

- A readable copy of your driver's license. *No issues*

- A copy of a recent credit card statement, bank statement *No issues*

- Documentation that shows that you purchased the item(s) recently listed for sale on eBay. *this is the issue*

The products were bought from Walmart back in 2018, so producing documentation that I recently bought the product is a bit of a challenge.

Can anyone provide any advice?

wait until items are delivered , ask buyers to leave feedback , use feedback as proof and also provide tracking

Thanks for your response. The last two remaining should be delivered today.

You’re saying to simply avoid their request to attach receipts or invoices all together and instead show them tracking numbers with received status?

It seems like their concern is the authenticity of the items and not that I didn’t ship. I provided tracking numbers via ShipStation for every order since day #1.

at first try like I said , tell them you do not have invoices

if the issue is authenticity and they insist on invoices then you can think of doing invoices yourself

same here, not matter you provided EIN or what, ebay will eventually ask for your SSN sooner or later, happen to all my accounts, time various.

How did you pay Walmart?a credit card,so do you still have the cc statement?
Do you have an account with WMT,does it go that far back to 2018 of your buying activities .
or you have none ,then try taking a picture of youself holding your Ebay ID,SSN etc with your inventory,
These days around Xmas they want to make sure you own the items and they are in your possession and they are not stolen goods,you know there are dept raids and they will try to sell on Ebay ,TGT and WMT have suffered losses on shoplifting and said they may have to close some stores.
