Creating new account on same device?
 

Hello,

I created an eBay account with ⊗⊗⊗⊗ details 1.5 years ago which got perma banned. Now I want to create another with my real actual details but I still have the same laptop. Will use a different browser though.

Would ebay still be able to link these accounts together and ban my new one as well?

You'd better use a different Windows user account. Some data/items are shared across different browsers in the same account

It's ebay, you never have to buy a new laptop nor virtual machine.

Amazon... yes, new laptop or complete laptop wipe for 1 acc.

Okay, and what about internet / IP? With the previous account I was using a portable internet device. Now I'm using mobile data with hotspot to the laptop. The sim is from the same company though.

ebay would not care if the account was banned because verification had failed

if it has been more than 1.5 years the old cookies do not matter anymore

As long as it isn’t the same exact IP.. you are good to go. Can be same ISP just not same IP

The key is "fingerprinting". As long as you have the necessary tools / setup to change it, you can open as many accounts as you want without linking them.
The easiest way is to create a new User profile on your machine. But note that, also among different user profiles on the same machine, some data are shared that could still link up. At the same time, many many computers on the world share the same fingerprints! So it's not necessary something that will be used to "exclude" you.

In short, go deeper in computer fingerprinting or use a fresh user profile on your machine.
