driver's license and credit card statement
 

My account was suspended 3 days ago. After sending in a support query, they sent me this email asking me for a copy of my driver's license and credit card statement. Is this normal? I don't feel safe giving eBay my information.

serious concerns that you might be acting inconsistently with the letter
or spirit of eBay policies. We've taken this precaution to protect our
members while we make sure the matter doesn't lead to harm -- however
unintentional -- to the eBay community.

You can request that your account be reinstated by sending us these
documents:

- A copy of your driver's license or other government-issued ID that
shows your name and address
- A copy of a recent credit card statement, bank statement, or utility
bill statement clearly showing your name and billing address. For
security reasons, please black out the first four and last four numbers
of your credit card number or your account numbers from other documents.

I would'nt give ebay any ids if i was u i would make a new account and start over.

if I send the information in, will I even get my account back?

Much will depend on the actual supsension notice. When you send the docs, you black out all sensitive info :peace:

what would be considered sensitive info?
