Advice on 50 000 prods and 500 000 $ account
 

Hi all


i have a new business acc 50 000 prods or 500 000 $ . i want to sell a original watch that i have box papers warrantie etc but it sells for arround 20 000 eur.... can some one give me advice on how to go about selling this item on ebay since it is a new account.. i can take real pictures etc

how to grow account and how long it would take to make such acc to be able to list this product ?

any heelp or insite is appreciated

Best advise is dont sell it within 3 months

Use 3 months to really sell a lot of item items and then list it if its really your only way of selling the watch

Even then though with an item of that value it will be risky

Agree with james - even with 3 months...it will be tricky. You have to ramp up to that level OP...do you have other items to sell to get towards that high of a value?

If you want your account to survive, season it with good sales and feedback for a number of months before trying to sell a high value risk item.

such items should not be sold at all unless the account sells this kind of items on a regular basis

the risk for ebay is high so that there is no way to rule out suspension even if the account is established

There is a difference between a business selling account and a personal one, I should think the business one that is verified has a greater selling price range than a personal one.

You can use it to sell it, but you need to sell consistently for 3 months.

I had a business account, sold around 3.5k value total, around 100 items, within a week it was suspended, they did payout after 60 days but you have to ramp up carefully, I would suggest no more than £1000 per month.

If you want to sell it you have to request to be a seller on the forum.

There are other places to sell a watch apart from ebay you know, if it's genuine.

i am affraid of escrow systems ... receiver can say whatever he/she wants about received product and i have no way to prove it ....

If your account has just registered and there are no transactions, then you cannot sell your watch for such a high value. eBay will suspend your account immediately. However, you can also provide eBay with some documentation so they can unsuspend your account.

Yeah, I have some advise for you. Do not sell it on ebay! They will MC011 your account and freeze your funds right before you get paid. I provided all the requested docs and they still banned my account.
I eventually got paid several months and dozens of calls later.
It seems like it's to big of a liability for ebay to let personal accounts sell high ticket items.
At least that's the feeling I walked away with after talking to ****loads of reps.

Selling a valuable item on ebay is to dangerous, somebody is going to buy it and say its f⊗ke. They open a case and return their f⊗ke watch and keep your real one. Ebay cant protect you from return fraud. stealth accounts are not worth the trouble. find someone who isnt blacklisted from ebay and let them auction it. in 2 weeks your going to want to know if bidding on your own stuff is legal. Its called shill bidding and its against the rules.

There are sellers who sell antique timepieces(watches and pocket watches )on ebay,some have their own physical stores.
One was scammed when the buyer returned an empty box ,it called the police and open the package ,found it to be empty and filed a police report.
But Ebay expected it to refund and take it up with the insurer,unfortunately it did not insure the return and Fed exp implied jewelry insurance max is $1k,the watch is worth $47K.
Another seller was scammed when the buyer used his account for digital orders and have no shipping address,but add in comment section of his Paypal payment email with a ship to address.
The seller shipped to that address,buyer filed INR and won,as tracking is meaning less when his Paypal ship to address does not exist,it is a $45K watch.
Ebay also have a program where it would guarantee the authenticity of high end watches,I dont know if it is still available

There is a site called Chroner24.com?? which sells high end watches,check it out.
Or you can send it to Aspire Auction,Christie or Soethby auction sites

Aspire takes pictures and charges both buyer and seller a fee
