Ebay Request Verify ID And Documents
 

Hi forum,

For lift restrictions mc011

When ebay requests documents like id from and back side, bank statement or bill utility and invoices of the 0roducts I sell.

How would it be better to send them for ebay and ebay don't reject the documents?

1. I log into my accounts and save the documents in PDF and send them
2. I record the documents, print them and take a photo of them with the cellphone and send them
3. I take a screenshot of the documents and send them

Other important question:

My id the address number of the apartment is 34 but in my ebay account the number of apartment is 33

If I edit only the number 34 and put number 33 in my ID, will eBay notice?

Or I can send my id with number 34 even though my account has number 33

you should be able to put 33 in your iD - have to prepare good quality documents

rsot, when was the last time you have submitted an edited ID on ebay ?

not in a while since i havent been hit with id request but when i did, i did edit a number but was canadian-based

because you have suggested an edited ID could pass, i want to warn and
i just want to give my 2 cents and advise again like I did on
another post, the AI is already updated, edited ID would not pass
verification anymore, thats the way it is for the past couple of months at least

it may depend on what the reason is for requesting an ID but
if anyone has recently managed to pass the request for an ID
with edited one after reaching the 1000+ usd amount on sales
hopefully would prove me wrong, that particular request is being
checked by AI and all edited IDs fail, while before there were no such issues

could be different though, these might be checked by humans… the ones that are checked by AI will fail if they are edited.

it is likely that the details from ID did not match database check that had been done before?

thats not the case trust me, they have no database to check the ids for the country they come from… specially speaking for drivers licenses

and i will repeat, i speak for the moment when they request id once 1000+ usd or equal amount in other currency has been reached. AI response is straight in a few mins… 2-3 months ago, this was easily passed with creative skills

it will be nice to know if anyone has recently passed this with being creative.

Send all original invoices of my products, proof of id, bill utility and bank statement

To all edit because in the address in my original documents is apartment 34 and change for apartment 33 which is the address of my ebay account.

Only change in all documents the number 34 for 33

I sent them and eBay took one week to review the documents

Receive the email says:
We appreciate the additional information that you provided. We recently reviewed your situation further, and in light of the additional details, eBay has reinstated your account.

they may not have a database to check the ID but they can certainly check the personal details through credit check?

they can likely only check for algorithmic matching - unless id has been used before, then it's much simpler to link

yes i agree even though when all algo has been followed and is correct they will still fail if edited and checked by the AI only, now it seems to look much deeper and follow patterns which are hard to replicate, i have tried that a lot and lost quite some accs on that and before the update i had 100% success rate.

the guy is not from the UK so it is possible it was different in his country

however , here in the UK all edited ID's fail and this has been the case from the very beginning

not all fail - many do but some have success - more so in the past though...i have uk accounts verified from about 8-10 years ago...situation was differentm agreed

2-3 months ago all was the same like it was 10 years ago with the ids
now all is changed

it likely means that UK standards were extended to other countries , in the UK it is close to impossible to get an edited ID verified , if it works at all then only on some foreign ID's and even that in rare cases
