New Ebay LLC account have been temporarily restricted. HELP!
 

I need advice. I opened a multi-member LLC US account yesterday. Today I listed my first item, and within an hour they temporarily restricted my account. Now they want me to call them, saying "We'll just need to ask you a few questions to verify your account." The last time I created an account was 10 years ago, and a lot has changed since then. I don't know what they want.

What should I expect? Will they ask standard questions: what are you selling, where are you sourcing it from, and at what price?

In that case, what do they want to hear? If I tell the truth that I want to sell used electronics and that I source them from auctions with all the invoices and so on, there's a big chance of being suspended after the call, as the items are not cheap, ranging from $100 to $700 per unit. Please advise on what to do. Perhaps it's not worth telling the truth in my case, but what exactly will pass?

It's an American account, somewhat stealthy, you could say.

before addressing your q's, what do you mean by "somewhat stealthy"? you used any old true info?

Well, the business is registered at an address that was likely burned before, and we provided our iPostal Address instead of it during the eBay registration, assuming that eBay does not verify the official address of the LLC. However, the company's address has not been officially re-registered. The name of the stakeholder is associated with the blocked account, but knowing that just the name and year of birth are not a direct match for eBay, we simply added another Middle name, which he has on his DL. The stakeholder's residential address is the same iPostal address; perhaps this is a mistake, but in case of DL verification, he will be able to make this address his DL address. Stakeholder DL and SSN has never been provided to eBay before.

you think too much of ebay , all these restrictions of new accounts are random , they don't care what you sell or whether you are stealth , no one will be investigating anything or asking you to provide any documents

during such a call they (mostly indians/pakistanis/philippinos) will be asking standard questions after which most accounts get suspended and a small minority will get reinstated

out of that minority another portion will be suspended once they list another item , this time they will not be asking any questions or considering any kind of reinstatement for anyone

It sounds like they want new buyers rather than sellers, which is obvious.

There might be a category of products that is in the green zone for new sellers, and they would allow selling after hearing about this category. So, my question is about that. Of course, I wouldn't want to ultimately realize that creating an LLC under eBay would lead to the same random ban as if I simply created a personal account. It seems equally arbitrary.

LLC gets taken down even easier , that is why you should open personal and upgrade to business after 3-6 months and at least 20-30 sold items

ebay are known for suspending people for nothing , they investigate only older accounts , with new ones they are completely ignorant and do not want to see any docs , even when they request ID on a new account it is all pro forma as they don't care as emails about a doc request come from bots on some accounts while most others are asked standard question with a suspension following after that

The main goal for everyone making new accounts is to make at least one sale then exceed the 90 timeframe. I have made many accounts since I started this, and all sell quickly on a new account. However I have learned since 2022 that just like how holidays security increase, so does on new accounts under 90 timeframe. It has always been like this but it is different now with managed payments. If you ever get payments put on hold for a review and are under 90 days chances are you'll get MC099.

Have to go slow, that is the only way IMO.
