sold about 30 things for about $2k
Mainly old retro video games within 60 days. Is that to much money to fast??
Gonna try to call them in the A.M. when i get a chance. Would it be a bad idea if I called them from a different number than the one listed in the ebay account???

Everything I sold was mainly just games I have laying around, Also sold an old laptop. Is that a flag?? Everything shipped same/next day, all 100% positive feedback.

I have an older ebay account with over 10000 100% reviews blah blah but.
I'm in the red. Below seller level!! Last year a guy ordered some stuff and wanted to cancel and so I did. Didn't know or think that it would be that big of a deal but it made my cancel rating to high. Boom now i'm below seller level on there and because of that they take an extra 6% on all sales!!!! I didn't even know tbh. I just realized two months ago that that was a thing and was like huh i'll just wait out for when the cancellations to be removed from my account. Bruh. IT TAKES A WHOLE YEAR FOR CANCELLATIONS TO BE REMOVED?? I'm gonna have to wait like until July before that account can have regular standing again.

Anyways yap session aside. Do you guys think that may be why I got mc999? Or did I just sell to many things to fast???

I got this also same exact account age as you I think its a ban wave have you got previous restrictions? I still have some accounts that survived luckily

It is not selling too much,too fast,it is something they found with the following-
new addy
new ip (mullvad VPN)
new bank account
new name
(reuse social ~ does that have to match name on ebay account???)
new number

you take $300 USD as base turnover and increase it by 20% per month , after about 10 months you would be able to sell 2K without getting kicked out

additional condition is that the average item price should be about 20 USD or less

Using mullvad or any public VPN using datacentre ips is a massive red flag to any website.

Ahh mullvad has been cheaper and I was already using it for downloading movies and games etc but it seems like i'm gonna have to get ip burger and try that since its super recommended.

Do you think if I try to appeal/call with a different phone number that will flag system or should I call with o.g. phone number used for that account?
I had let the plan expire since making account and dont really want to pay for 3 months of service only for ebay to say "no account staying closed" lol

I can get new addy
new ip (ill use the burger joint from now on)
new bank account. no problems there.

do you know anything about if the names have to match for account creation to the social they'll ask for?

Do you know if they'll make a fuse about phone number calling in to appeal? I let the phone number expire and would rather not to reup 3 months just to call them and use the number logged in the system only for them to say account closed forever. Will they make a fuse if i call with a different phone number about the account or will they send any codes to the phone or something???

I think they do check SSN,they have asked to see the front and back of the SS card,so if names are different,how can they not notice?

I've been banned mc999 after 13 days I used correct browser and proxy

Soon as I list a item bang mc999!!!

Then I even put my national insurance num and real details

They called I verfied then reinstated

Woke up morning

Banned again!!!!

I haven't called yet.
This was the question I asked a few comments ago uptop:

you will not be able to solve this problem on the phone , a restriction maybe

with suspension the chances are somewhere between extremely unlikely and impossible

but even with restrictions most accounts get suspended again shortly after they had been reinstated and the second suspension/restriction is always the final one

The type of phone you use does matter.

It seems you're in a risky country and you're operating a USA account right?

So IPburger for the IP solution and make sure you read the stealth guide so you know your basics.

Agree with murdered - member wanted me to call and try and reinstate his suspended account 2 days ago - the eb agent seemed friendly but did nothing - account was about 5 days old, USA-based

A lot of the time, if you're suspended.. it's too late. You've flagged their system and that's that. Now I don't even bother appealing on new accounts, because it's only a matter of time until the ban hammer strikes again.

If you can't list your first item without getting a suspension, you're doing something wrong.

Aside from this, it could be the product you're selling.. also too much $$$ too fast I would say.

Right - suspension without any selling history is usually not worth the time to work out the issue, sadly
