Restricted and providing ID question...
 

So I have a few accounts, mostly for backups, but haven't been selling much lately.

I have an account with my current name, address, phone, etc. in excellent standing.

I have another account with a creative name, address, working Verizon phone, but got restricted because the last 5 items didn't ship for 2 weeks (I was in the hospital) and just got home tonight.

Ebay is asking for an ID. My real SS is already on the account, payments were going to my real bank, if I update the account to my home address and my info that is on my Driver's License, you think they will not have a problem with that? That basically the name and address had to be changed for it to be verified? I don't want to put my home account at risk.

I guess what I'm asking is if so much had to be updated for the verification, if that in itself will be a problem. Or will they just go by if the info I submit is verifiable?

I’ve had DL checks with different addresses on the ID compared to the account that pass without issues. I think they look for the name matching the ID and then using a 3rd party to verify the ID is real.

If you change the info of the second account, not only will that be potentially affected but if a deeper dive is done, it could affter the 1st account - the risk is real
