so further restriction?what more can they restrict?
Buying privilege ,read !!
There is no guarantee your selling privilege would be restored, depends on why you are restricted, depends on your feedback, disputes, violation like selling counterfeits, slow in shipping, too many returns.

Agent, the OP said in the first post that the account was put on hold for non-payment. It's very straightforward and is the easiest kind of restriction to get past. He never came back so I assume it all worked out for him.

Ebay has in some cases said pay and your account will be open, but not so.

To be honest though, one time I cleared my account it had a small outstanding balance of ~£200 to pay, but I feel like it leaves a bad taste in their mouth.

The account was later restricted without anyways to reinstate it and I followed my usual business practices, which leaves me to believe this may have played a part in the swift restriction as they make look at it as you are a lesser trustworthy individual - its all about risk management I feel.

If you have the means, it's best to start fresh unless the account is truly of value to you

For me, it's been the same - if I have been delinquent on fees, whenever I pay up, I've been reinstated.

That being said, my overdue fees have never been more than $20
