Reinstate eBay account that has been permanently restricted due to Counterfeit policy
 

My eBay account has had its selling privileges permanently restricted due to a violation of eBay’s Counterfeit Policy.
I am planning to use a service I found on Google to get my account reinstated.
Do you guys think this will work?

Any advice?

I doubt it. Just like the feedback removal service is pretty much obsolete now, this is likely to be the same.
It's your money though. Only you can decide if it's worth the risk.

Yeah, I know.
I browsed all the topics on this board and found several cases that were successfully resolved in the past.
I wonder if any service like this still exists? I did see Amazon account reinstatement services offered here, though.

If all your listings were taken down, don't bother. Just a waste of money at that point.

Also, how many times did they warn you?
Usually you can get away with 2 - 3 warnings before they suspend your account permanently.

I don't know about using a random Google service but I have a reliable service (price vs quality decent) outside the forum if you want to dm me for the referral

But one of my accounts has been reinstated without me going through the appeal process.
It just secretly went live, and all my listings on that account are now available to the public for sale.

This occurrence only reinforces my belief that these mass counterfeit suspensions were caused by an eBay system glitch.
I don’t think I am the only one affected.

I am keeping an eye on this and getting ready to start the appeal process.

This month at least 6 of my stores received multiple 7 and 10 day restrictions. Their AI is going crazy ! I am about to lose many of my stores due to this nonsense. Ever since they introduced this AI **** it all went downhill. I got restrictions despite having deleted these items already from my stores.

Ebay can hit an item with a counterfeit notice for up to 3 months after the item has ended. Basically the amount of time the listing stays in ebays archive. Ever wonder why you cant see an ended item after roughly 3 months. That's why.

Copyright etc ... I mean each of my accounts had like 200+ policy violations and I never bothered to delete them since ebay has rarely does anything even if you get bunch of VERO or potential VEROs ... but now they implemented AI and it went rough...

I decided to try reselling again back in 2024 (last time was in 2017) and one of my first accounts got like a dozen counterfeit policy violations in 1 day and I didn't get any type of suspension. Then a few days later about 150 of my 200 listings got hit with a counterfeit violation and I got a 7 day suspension.

Shower curtains, tiles, motorcycle gear, visors and resin models.

0.13% of 31,000 listings was counterfeit which is 40 listings.

I have a policy filter for eBay but unfortunately listings that were already removed still got a policy violation, even though I already removed it.

I’ve written a good appeal hoping for reinstatement with remediation or something, I have 4,000+ orders 99.9% positive feedback 0% late delivery or item defect rate. I’ve only ever been top rated seller etc etc.

This new AI system is just ridiculous, eBay is going to bleed money doing this.

It didn’t unfortunately. Was my only account, luckily have some old buyer accounts I’ll try to convert
