Just about done with eBay Suspensions Forum

I just finished reading every post in every thread in the eBay suspensions forum. Over 667 threads and 7,047 posts!

I've learned a lot!

And I'll post what I've learned in the coming weeks in the FAQ section. I have over 300 files of solid information ready and a new guide to compile.

After this I'll start work with the Paypal forum. That's where most of the changes are happening.

A couple highlights most active members should already know but new members might not.

===================================

- Paypal is not the best option anymore for eBay. You can still use Paypal but it'll have to be a new account among other factors.

- What you list and how much you list is more important then the age of your account.

- You must now use a real (temp) phone number and a valid address to get around invalid information suspensions.

- EBay still checks auction images and other factors when looking to link accounts.

- Feedback doesn't matter. Forget about buying feedback.

- Paying your eBay fees with your Paypal account will most likely link your Paypal and eBay accounts and cause suspensions. This is one out of many ways eBay links to your Paypal account.

- Using a Paypal account that's been used with a suspended eBay account, will most likely suspended any new eBay accounts you associate with. You can no longer simply add a new email address to your Paypal account.

- Gift cards still work. And lots of options out there.

- Seller Performance limitations are easy to lift.

- IPs matter, but how much? AOL proxies work, but probably not for long.

- Having multiple accounts is probably easier then you think.

- There are ways around VeRO

- Auctiva is your friend.

This and much more. The gathering process is complete. Time to put it all together.

x2ruff4u 10-28-2007 03:53 AM

Yes, Very interested.. ANyone see the new pop up when you try to start a store to get more ebay traffic, recognition, without being a power seller? says you need fb of 20? also cannot list the feature area, without more fb? (Not gallery featured, the other one), no 1 day auctions without 10 fb, no buy it now without 10 fb? Just what I have uncovered in the past day, with my new/new acct..

You got a good thing going aspkin.
Keep it up.

might be a good idea to have a section for the international members.

earlt 10-28-2007 09:41 AM

I would have to concur with Spike1

I'm from Canada and find a lot of the information on the forum seems to be tailored to people living in the U.S.

I guess we really have to encourage individuals living outside the U.S. to speak up whenever they come across valuable information pertaining to this forum.

I was thinking of having identifying flags next to your names. But I guess an international section could work too.

spike1 10-28-2007 05:46 PM

i think alot of people don't want to give away where they're from so a section might be better for them.

Chris Hanson 10-28-2007 07:43 PM

I dont see why not?? If someone is scared to say where there from then they are just toooo Paroniod

spike1 10-28-2007 11:58 PM

true, true, but you notice how some of the things we can do here in the U.S. can not be done elsewhere and vice versa.

Chris Hanson 10-29-2007 12:10 AM

True True..lol

newebayerwannabe 10-29-2007 04:36 AM

Iam from Aus. Iam all for the flags.

Chris Hanson 10-29-2007 11:17 AM

[QUOTE=Modee;14735]I like the flag idea. Make mine a scull and crossbones, or, Transylvaaania.

Transylvania (Romania)
The flag of Transylvania was red-yellow-blue, horizontally divided - the yellow was smaller than red (and the blue). [/QUO\

Speaking of Dracula. i went to the bar over the weekend and somebody was dressed up as Dracula. Looked just liked your picture...lol

Added flag feature.

You can select your flag by editing your profile.
