Just got ID verified, please help
 

Hi,

I created a new paypal account, got it verified (all legit info)....then I created an ebay account and started a new listing right when I created it. It seemed ok but when I logged back in after 10 minutes, I got hit with the ID verification thing, to call in and have them ask me three questions from the public records. Since it's a friend's info, I don't know all the info so i answered all the questions with "none of the above" and somehow by luck I successfully verified.

Now my question is, what triggered that ID verify "must call ebay to verify more information" ????

Was it because I listed way too fast right when I created the new seller's account??

Or should I have waited, bought a few things and then listed??

Has this happened to anyone??

does your friend have a paypal credit card by any chance?..just I noticed I got an automatic id verify on an account which matched details of a card .....

No he doesn't have a paypal credit card or anything. It's fresh information, he's never used paypal or Ebay.

I think I got hit with it because I tried to list an item 1 minute after I created a new Ebay seller's account?? you guys think? It seemed like an automatic ID verify that was triggered. When I listed, it accepted the listing but when I logged in 10 minutes later, that's when the ID verify came up.

Wouldn't it be suspicious to open a brand new ebay seller's account and start listing right off the bat??

I'm just trying to find out where I went wrong so I can correct it. Thanks!

About last year I got verified as well. You will get shut down if you sell a lot of ⊗⊗⊗⊗ no matter what. I got verified 3 times and it seems to be ok. But after 25k gross sales in 2 weeks. The account is gone with 3k fees on it and never paid a cent....

Ok, but how do they find out if you are selling alot of ⊗⊗⊗⊗ specially if you got no disputes and possibly receipts. ;)
