30 day selling restriction

A couple of hours ago, I received a message from ebay:
Dear *******

We regret to inform you that, because of a recent policy breach, your account has been restricted from selling for a period of thirty (30) days. During this time you won't be able to list new items, and you're not allowed to register a new account.

Please be assured that your account is not suspended, the restriction will be lifted automatically once the thirty day period is over.

While your account is restricted you won't be able to sell on eBay, however you may continue to buy items, leave Feedback, access emails in My Messages and do most other administrative tasks.

Please be aware that repeated breaches of this or another policy may result in a range of actions, including the suspension of your eBay membership. If your account is suspended you'll no longer be able to access it, any active listings will be ended and we'll notify any bidders. This restriction doesn't relieve you of your obligation to pay any fees that you may owe to eBay.

If you have any further questions, please review the notice that was previously sent to you about this restriction.

Thank you for your cooperation in this important matter.

Regards,

eBay Trust & Safety

I just dont understand why would they do this to me, I have more than 500+ 99.6% positive feedback(many buyers stated in feedback said would buy more from me). We just sent sell some shoes on ebay. The worse thing is ebay have sent a message to all buyers and encourage them to file a claim against me. So I have recieved more than 50 emails from buyers and they all complianted and ask for a full refund even I told them the items have been posted already and I also provided them an online tracking number. Many buyers still dont believe than open a paypal case against me, so the money in my paypal account has been hold by paypal, I cannot even access them.I dont care if they are not allow me sell stuff on ebay, but how come they emailed almost 150 buyers and encourage them to file a claim against me? I did nothing wrong at all, I even have paid ebay 4000 pounds yesterday for listing fees. I am now very upset, seems all the buyers dont believe what I said at all. Has anyone here suffered from same situation before, I need your help, thanks

Welcome to the forums Ray.

Believe it or not, it was that same letter sent to my customers a couple of weeks ago that caused the same chain reaction and got me to find this site.

I got up on a Sat morning, saw what had happened and I already had 4 claims in Paypal. An hour later my Paypal was limited. ( I had no idea that was going to happen).

I immediatly fired off this letter to over 100 customers:

"Hi,

I am sending this to all the customers that have bought from me in the last 7 days.

Ebay ended my auctions without contacting me. Ebay has emailed customers of those ended auctions. (If you didn't receive an email from them, you bought from an auction that ended naturally.)

I just wanted to assure you that if you have paid for your item(s), they have either shipped will be shipped out this week.

If you paid for your item on or before Jan 20th, it has already been shipped.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Sorry for the confusion"

It seemed to work for the most part and I was able to salvage a lot of the sales.

ray,
Welcome to the forum. I would look at other stuff to sell. Once you get a restriction on one type, it can happen again. Have you thought of selling a
mixture of items?

Thanks, there I am thinking of sell other stuff once I am able to sell stuff again, thanks for your suggestion
