FYI: Ebay do calls
 

I registered my ebay account using AIM phone. They just killed it.
Then I checked my AIM phone log, there's a missing call from 604-291-7311, I look it up via google and it is from Ebay.
So if we use AIM, when ebay calls us, they will also limited us. what we can do?

Did the call happen after you started selling or after you registered the account?
This happens after I started selling.

If you didn't try to sell, did you put a CC# in and register as a seller?
Yes

Did you have your marketing prefs enabled to allow telemarketing?
No.

What country are you in? I never received a phone call on any of my accounts on eBay.

yeah thats what it is. you have to deselect the telemarketing box.. Thats why these sellers are getting the verify thing by ebay.

Maybe... time will tell with more input from other sellers.

BTW, I received D..mn phone calls from area code 801 all the time.
They always say there is a promotion....
But I think it's Ebay try to find out whose phone number is invalid. So they
can limit sellers!

you can just get a virtual phone number that redirects to your cell.

Hi- Funny thing- I have 9 accts running now, 2 of the 9 got calls this week, BUT those 2 are selling similar items, my pain in th *** competitor who has been following me sells. I believe he emailed them again. They in turn wanted to verify. I got that $6,99 headset w/ keypad on ebay from hongkong for when you have to press the # sign, both accts back up. I think alot of aggrevation comes from competitors? Anyone else agree??

Sometimes I wonder how much of it is from competitors.. but is there any way to really be sure??

IN my case- I have pretty much pin pointed it- I have logged when he sends me a sarcastic email to a new acct- then 2-3 days later that acct is suspended... He even poses as other user id buyers to leave me neg fb, the accts he doesnt know about selling other items always fine, even higher priced items. I think i got him for he holidays- I sent my items to 5 different Power Sellers (trading assts)- so he'll be chasing after 5 accts with 5,000+ fb, thinking its me again.. EVERY single acct I have had- he got me.The guys a nutcase. We're only talking about $29-$49 items, but he's a fanatic..I got a Sneaky suspicion he's got a form letter he sends to T&S to take accts down.. He uses the email headers from ask the seller a question- once you answer- he takes your header- uses his own verbage- then in 2-3 hours later, that accts dead- it has been done on 12-15 of my accts since july.
