Is their service similar to privatephone.com???

Privatephone is out of business. If anyone wants to keep the phone
#, you have to pay $20 bucks per month! ---- Great!!!:mad:

A real landline even costs less than that!

I just tried this service. But when I tried to phone the number I registered, The greeting has the name of grandcentral. So I think if ebay calls your grandcentral number, the ebay account maybe suspended.

UPDATE: we can set the greetings using grandcentral. So I think this is OK for ebay.

If privatephone.com charged something cheap like 50 cents a month plus 1/cent a minute then they could offer something good cheaply without going out of business.

GRANDCENTRAL IS NOT VERY GOOD!
NOT as good as privatephone.com.
1st of all, you have to give them your real phone number in order to change your greeting.
2nd, even you personalized your greeting, sometimes, it will still show the system greeting and let the caller know it's grandcentral.
I tried to call 6 times, one time, it switch back the system greeting. I don't know why. I just hope it will not like this when EB calls me.

I did a Google search and found simplevoicecenter.com, and calldigits.com

Unfortunately, they both assign the location of the phone number so it is no good for eBay since the numbers are both in Iowa and I log into eBay through AOLs east coast server in VA.

I am getting frustrated too!!!

just use a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ number. the odds of them calling is slim

Chris, I thought eBay will call on a new account? I agree after that, they may not call...
