Need a Legit Source that Ebay Will Accept

Ok, here is my situation. im bout to create my 3rd ebay account. I been selling electronics on ebay for sometime now. all of a sudden my account got suspended saying they see all the listing and want to know where im getting my item from. I told them craigslist, but the trust&safety team say thats not a acceptable source.
I have no intention of stop buying from craigslist but what legit source could i tell ebay that im getting my (phones) from. that they will accept. they will ask me to fax them receipt or proof of purchase. so i need a legit source that i can say i get it from.
I thought about telling them i buy them from liquidation.com...but if they ask for receipt, i have no idea what a invoice from liquidation.com looks like. So any idea that i could tell ebay as where i buy my phones??? just incase they ask. ( i know they will at some point).

mmm i would have been able to help you if you where selling movies because i have a website and a domain that sell movies and you could have told them to call me at my 1800 number and i would have been able to help you. anyways you can always make a website at weebly.com you dont need to know how to build websites their are drag and drop then when you are finished just buy a domain from godaddy for 7 dollars and thats it. hope it helps

ohh and hope it works.. if it does please tell me. thanks

jahbar 05-11-2010 04:43 PM

ok, i will try give that a try. guess i wont really know if it works till ebay try to contact me about sources. im also hoping the reason they did it in the past was because my accounts was link to a suspended one. but thanks in advance.

you can give them a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ supplier. they do not call since they have over 1000 suppliers to call each day. give them a supplier from china.. look up on google for the contact info

so, any news? did ebay ask you to provide invoices or just suppliers? how about the website? did it work?

99% ebay will call these days.

Trust & Safety WILL call the supplier you fax in to verify. I learned this the hard way by doctoring an old emailed invoice and just changing the billing/shipping info, however they called the company and said the invoice had been altered..

why would ebay want our suppliers info? what are they up to?

imjustme 10-08-2010 12:31 PM

They might save the suppliers in a database, to then use it to check against suspensions to find out who's selling legit items and who isn't.

i'm wondering if suppliers would actually divulge any information to ebay/paypal.

isn't there some kind of privacy issues preventing disclosure of information ?

Only if its personal.

If you build a website using weebly and then buy a domain how can you get your website traffic?

They want to make sure that you are not selling counterfeits or stolen merchandise.

jeffweico 10-10-2010 03:27 PM

Ummm..... About the domain name...

Just remember that if you pruchase the domain using your real information, then it can be easily checked by eBay. They may be suspicious of a "private registration" as well since most legitimate businesses do not use them.

+1 for that. also, paypal has been calling suppliers.

jeffweico 10-10-2010 05:05 PM

Yes. This CAN be done, but there is definitely some work involved. In the past, creating a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ invoice might work, but now there is too much of a chance they will call the supplier, or even investigate if they are unsure about their legitimacy.

i wouldn't recommend this if you are selling vero items such as dvds.
paypal will think they are not authentic if you give them a number from china..

paypal: yes, i'm calling to see if john smith is a customer of yours....john told me your his supplier...is this true?

i don't see why the company would divulge that....to me that would be considered "personal"...wouldn't you?

just make sure that the domain registration matches the stealth registration info.

I don't think they ask if Mr. X is a customer since yeah, thats personal, I think they ask if they sell a certain product, theres no way companies are going to provide specific customer info.
