FRORCOO2 - Your eBay account information

I received this e-mail from eBay costumer service after my pending balance on paypal became over $1000.

We attempted to contact you today but were unsuccessful.

In order to maintain a safe and secure online marketplace, eBay may
require additional verification from sellers from time to time. We
would like to arrange a call to discuss activity on your eBay/PayPal
account. Please respond to this email with the following information:

- The best time of day to reach you. If there are specific hours of the
day when you can be reached, please include those.
- The best day(s) of the week to reach you.

We appreciate your cooperation in verifying your account as quickly as
possible, and we welcome you as a valued member of our trading
community.

If anyone knows, what kinds of questions will I be asked? Thanks.

I'm not sure that it's about the amount of money in your paypal account.

I received a phone call from ebay without any warning one morning, actually the phone woke me up. And wasn't I surprised to hear him say that it was ebay calling. I asked him what was wrong and why were they phoning me, he said that is was just for verification and he asked what I had listed the night before or something along those lines. I told him I couldn't remember as he has woken me up. He ended up telling me what I had listed, and apologised for waking me and wished me success as a seller on ebay.

Completely bizzare, and that listing was removed later that day, but everything else has been fine.

But as you have been given prior notice of the phone call, I would have all information ready just in case.

Basically they want you to call them on the phone number you used to register or they call you on the number to make sure it is real and you were the one that attempted to list items.

"Listing was removed later that day"...? =(

I told them to call me back on Weekends, and received an e-mail saying that limit my balance to $1200, and everything else is OK.

He asked you what you had listed and then later they remove it...Any reason given why it was removed?

Vero member reported it.

I listed one on each account, 10 day listing, not a problem. Decided to re-list it only on one account, then I get the phone call the next morning, listing gets taken down that afternoon.

i just got a call like this today but i missed it, what steps should i take? and if he/she calls what should i tell them exactly?

holyhell 06-23-2010 11:56 AM

If you miss a couple calls, sometimes only one, they pull all your listings and keep trying to call, or eventually ask you to send in personal info and invoices. Just my experience.

veriluxxx 06-23-2010 01:27 PM

i just talked to him over the phone and got mc011, all listings ended. I need to fax them a copy of my id, invoices and utility bill. Does anyone know where I can get some templates in order to send these in?

ballache 07-10-2010 06:59 PM

Best way is to prepare documents of your stelath ebay info . Use an internet based free fax system to hide your location. Takes a while and they need to be chased but it does work a lot of the time.

Trimptop 07-16-2010 11:57 AM

I just faxed over everything they needed yesterday and they indefinitely suspended my Ebay account! Sneaky *******s! I knew they just wanted a copy of the drivers license and Utility Bill to have on their records so we can't create a new account!
Meanwhile, screw them, I am going stealth all the way now! :)
