When does eBay check the bank and card details?
 

Hi all,

I've setup a new eBay account from work, using all my work details i.e. their I.P, address, phone number etc.

I've also used a different name (a variation on my real name)

I created the account and left it for a few days and all seemed fine. A few days ago I entered bank details and credit card details. I've never used the bank account or card with eBay before. The bank and card are in my real name. Does eBay check the name and address of the bank account before it verifies it?

I'm doubting whether eBay with accept the card details as the card is registered in a different name and to a different address.

When I login it still allows me to change the bank and card details. Does eBay only attempt to verify these details once I begin to sell?

Should I change the details to my real name and address so the card is verified?

That's good news. Although I assumed they would check at least the name against the credit card.

Should I go ahead and list something or wait another few days to see if eBay come back to me?

I don't have any feedback on this account at all.

Should I buy somethings to get the feedback raised? If I buy something then am I safe to use my Paypal account that was linked to my older account?

lol dont use anything old that can link you to any older accounts since thats how they will suspend you again.
and buy tangible things, like trading cards or like savahaganda said stickers.
