Selling account with over 10,000 feedback suspended

Over a year ago, I began to get some complaints on items taking to long to be shipped out, not as described, etc, and ebay suspended my account "indefinitely". (I sell/sold clothing and shoes) It had over 10,000 positive feedbacks. So, after it was suspended, I opened a new account and started selling on that one, racking up over 4,000 positive feedbacks. Then stupid me, I thought maybe it would be nice to get my old account open for selling again (because of the very high feedback rating) so I emailed T&S from the 1st account asking if they would allow me to start selling on it again. Well, they denied that request AND closed my new account as well, because it was linked to the old one.

Now I am stuck and have no idea what to do. When I email asking what I can do to open the original one (which has been suspended for over a year) they tell me they have reviewed it and it will remain suspended indefinitely. I have some pretty good debt on my AMEX for the merchandise I have on hand right now and would really like to regain selling on ebay. Has anyone been in this situation or had any luck that was suspended indefinitely?

Thank you for your time,
Ryan

You are going to have to start over sadly. But why would you do this? 4000 vs 10000 wont get more sales. @ 4000 you had it made. You should have never looked back...

But you don't need a lecture. You have to start over again. Get the book if you haven't already and that's a good start. But you are screwed on that kind of volume for quite some time.

While you start fresh, you may try working with ebay customer service to get account back if you performed very well on the customer service side with no bad feedback. Super long shot but make sure you don't let them know you have a new account and don't get them linked!

well totally if you havent gotten the book you should..and also i think you should get some stealth accounts start possibly..selling SLOWLY on those..like i mean slow..and then..see where you would want to go from there..

I feel for you my friend, the First thing is that you must come to the realization that Ebay will Never give you those accounts back. You are going to have enter the world of Stealth and you MUST learn a TOTALLY New Program from selling on Legit accounts.

I would suggest that the nature of your business might make it Better if you Consider Amazon, for the last couple of Years They acutally have MORE traffic than Ebay, and are growing Faster. If you Play your Cards right you could have the Same or Better Level of sales with a Legit Amazon Account in a Relativly Modest Pediod of time. BEWARE though AMAZON DOES NOT TOLERATE " Not as Described', Slow Shipping, or ANY OTHER BullSh*t like that from their Sellers, One little thing, and your toast. In that reguard they are MUCH Worse than Ebay.

While you have that going on you read the Stealth Book, Create a Few Stealth Ebay and Paypal accounts, Build your accounts SLOWLY on Ebay and who knows, in a Year or so you Might laugh at this whole thing?

if he were to sell on amazon..how would he do that?..wouldn't he have to get approved in order to sell clothings and shoes on amazon??

slapped 06-23-2010 05:37 PM

It is east to get approval for that type of Stuff

SelfMade17 06-23-2010 06:06 PM

umm i've read all over the forum that getting approved for that stuff is the hardest thing on amazon..

A important way of preventing account suspended by Ebay is keep your account blocked with your old account(I mean keep them "independent unique")

Thanks for all of the great answers.

My next question is, that I have heard when opening a new account, to list SLOWLY at first to not get pulled for verification and not get suspended for unsafe business practices or whatever. My question is, HOW slow do I need to start out listing? 1 item a week? Is 10-20 items a week too many? Thanks for the help once again.

depends on type of product, high or lower risk etc, but low risk 10-20 is fine

SelfMade17 06-25-2010 11:51 AM

yeah. but if your item is vero..or high risk..most likely 1 every few days or something in that matter..after you start getting feedback..you can slowly progress..

Quite right. It would be impossible right now to sell clothing on Amazon for new sellers until maybe this Fall when they open up to new sellers. Maybe being the key word. Even then, you must have your own website for Amazon to peruse through with pictures taken a certain specific way for approval. You will need SKU for all items. Several other documents as well. Even then, if you do everything correct, chances of you being accepted are slim.

Should have left it. At 4000, you're doing pretty good.

SelfMade17 06-28-2010 03:00 PM

everyone and probably including him knew that..thanks for pointing out the obvious :P haha

4000 feedback... that's excellent... i cant even get to 100 :/

rcdrivertim 06-28-2010 05:26 PM

I was a seller of high risk clothing and accessories...I just got the boot...I will be opening another account but, is there a guideline as to how many of those items to list before I get the "evil eye" placed on me? Has anyone here had success with "buying" an account? Any help would be great because I am devastated now...Thanks

SelfMade17 06-28-2010 05:26 PM

yes..4000 is very nice feedback to have..i would be happy with just 100 + on my half.
lol.

You really have to be extra cautious on what actions are made. One wrong move can mess up your accounts if your not careful. On a positive note, we can learn from our mistakes and avoid them in the future! :D

put your flag up, are you from US? why do you want to buy an account? Just make one, the ones you buy are normally just buying accounts with no paypal attached. Make a few accounts, that way you can list slower. Bottom line is vero will get you kicked off unless you are very careful with product you choose, and/or dont sell in huge quantities. Under the radar is what keeps accounts going longer.
