New ebay policy, have you met now?

Attention
You've reached the selling limit for the number of items you can list. New sellers are limited to 100 (active + completed) items or $5000 of sales (active + completed) per 30-day period. This means you can stay within your limit or contact us to review your account with you.

We'd like the opportunity to review your account to help ensure you are on track to provide a good experience for eBay buyers.

Please call us between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM (PT) Monday-Friday at 1-866-492-3229 to speak with a customer support representative.

Outside the US please call 801-545-1592

We look forward to the chance to talk with you about your current and future business plans, along with your supplier information. This conversation will help us make sure that all new sellers meet their buyers' expectations.

That policy has been in place for a few months or more now. It's nothing new. Maybe you just didnt sell that much now that you actrualy see the message until now. Just wait for many other messages that will pop up.

IMO... you sell 100 items on a account...

sell 100 more on another

and 100 more on another

and so on.....

cruiserdaddy 09-16-2010 03:06 AM

So how long are you considered new? 90-days?

forummember 09-16-2010 06:31 AM

Is this a new policy? I'm sure it's been place for ages.

ronaldchen 09-16-2010 06:54 AM

yeah, my question actually is, what's the standard that are "new accounts".

rsot 09-16-2010 11:05 AM

Think it is 6 months that you are under probation.

Where;s your flag at ronaldchen?

FandangoKango 09-16-2010 01:34 PM

after 90 days in the usa you are considered more privleges for selling.

source: my experience.

First Edition 09-16-2010 01:36 PM

I disagree..... if you're selling for the 90 days... maybe. Now they look at DSR, feedback, what you're selling, etc.. more closely than age

I've read in another forum with stealth ebay users about the same topic. One of the replies said to get the limit removed you need feedback of atleast 30 or atleast least 50 items successfully sold using Paypal.

Just sharing what I saw in another forum. I don't have personal experience with this.
