What can happen if you sign on from different email

I was on my business email account doing some work (ebay account has my personal email) and decided to check out some phones on ebay. I only have one account, so I correctly entered my info and went shopping like I have done almost since ebay started. I was almost ready to buy a phone, after much research. I narrowed it down and sent some questions to the final candidates. I have signed onto my account from at least two other email accounts (from work) many times with no problem, but not this time.

Ebay actually thought I was a scammer, shut down my account, told all of the sellers I was a scammer and ruined my whole deal. They sent me an email saying someone had tried to scam me, so I immediately changed my account info. Then it hit me..... it was just me on a different email address. (Same IP)

Ebay reinstated my account that evening with no apology once I told them what happened (and they checked it out), but they had created a problem. All I wanted was a note from them to the sellers saying I was not a scammer, they refused. (Well, worse, they said they would do so and never did. I checked.) I still bought my phone on ebay, just had to wait a few days for new sellers.

I was pissed...but I had a drink and got over it. Thank goodness for alcohol, it keeps me off Prozac.

Well, in this case they were just looking out for account owner. You

What you should absolutely do now is name your first born "eBay" and honor them that way.

If they were competent, it would not have ever happened......

And even then, if they cared about me as an account holder, they would pick up the phone and call like my bank does, instead of shutting me down and slandering me.

Their main concern is covering their ass, not looking out for me.

If they just had decent customer service and actually did not hide their contact info from us, I would give them more credit. I love the auctions themselves.

That was most certainly a crappy way to handle things without question
