My Story & eBay Store Advice

Hi,

I first started with eBay about 10 years ago already (I am 28). When I first started, I was stupid and I screwed up. It resulted in a suspended account. Not long after, I created a new account and started to kick some ass as a seller. Then one day I log on and I got the dreaded notice of suspension due to them linking me to that old account. I made a few accounts after that, but they all suffered the same fate. After awhile, it was becoming almost comical. I would create an account and it would be suspended within hours, sometimes even minutes!

Then I just said "to hell with eBay", but the reality is I cannot live without it.

I tried a new tactic. I created an account and just let it sit for 30 days. All the accounts in the past were suspended as soon as I did anything, be it try to sell or shortly after making a purchase. So I just let this one sit until the sun next to my name vanished. Sure enough, I wasn't suspended. Then I tested the water with a few purchases....still no suspension, great.

Then it was time to try and sell. I used a new bank account, a different name to register, new phone # and just for the hell of it, I created a new PayPal account. Everything was new, with the exception of the address.

That was a little over 1 year ago and I already have over 200+ positive feedbacks as a seller. I even use my real name and same address when making purchases and still no suspension. I've been paying my fees with PayPal and I know eBay HAS to be seeing my name when I make them.

If anyone can learn something from this info, great.

But here is my current problem. I really want an eBay store, but I have no credit card or checking account. I am scared to death to do ID verify, as I will have to provide my real name, SS# and all that...which I used in the past. I can go out and get a checkings account and debit card, but once again, I'll have to use my real name.

At this point in the game though, is it safe to do any of those?

Fixed Price listing and an Ebay store is basically the same thing. You can get away with a LOT more with BIN than you can an Ebay Store. I too have been on Ebay for a long time (12 years). Why have a store that cost you extra money and time and verification when fixed price is the same?

Because with a store it will be cheaper for me and it's better organized.
