MC999 Id Verification, Linked account
 

I have been active in a stealth account I purchased.
I am items through a dropshipper quite successfully.

Suddenly I get an MC999 where they are linking me to a suspended account from Dec. of 2009. I have nothing to do with the other account.

Ebay is not accepting my new telephone # change for verification.
Now I need to fax in:
a) a Drivers licinse photo.. ( I can say I don't have one)
b.) Copy of telephone or electric bill

any ideas?

You purchased the stealth account - quite possible that whoever created it did not do a magnifico job =(

I would not bother trying to send in all the info - eBay is pretty ugly like that - just collecting your info.

Let it go and move on - get in touch with your seller and hope for some aid.

I hate when I have to send in ID and utility bill or bank statement. :mad:
I send them all the documents and they never respond or takes longer than usual.
Once this happens, you can try to come up with the documents or move onto another account.

It is always good to have back ups ready for these type of situations.

Ebay will only accept the ORIGINAL phone number thatthe account was created with and that numbr is non existant.
I guess I can kiss my paypal account good bye too...

You may as well get used to sending in info, as if what others have said is true you will have to do it with every account sooner or later.

The good thing is that they seem happy with what ever you send, as long as it looks right and you don't go saying you don't have what they want. Yes you do you just have not thought about it creatively.

This is similar to the MC010 suspension, where they want ID.... it might just be a ploy to get your info. who knows, it could have been the same address, or phone number... but this one seems to be happening more and more lately.

And MC999 is a general alert, it does not mean you've been linked. It's what's in the message here that counts.

Yep i got a MC999 said it could be linked to suspended account,
Needless to say i changed the address on the account they wanna check,
Will i need to photoshop up for nice docs for them,

Do banks and credit cards give paypal and ebay your personal info? Is it possible to just open another checking account with my same bank and get another checkcard? I see a lot of people are offering virtual accounts and credit cards but why can't the people buying these just open additional accounts with their current bank?

What do you mean by accepting only the OG phone?

You can shop the numbers...if you got ID provided on a stealth account...I'm sure it won't be hard.

It took ebay about a 1-2 months to respond back, but then they told me it was to small even though the details on the ID were clearly visible.

You can, but if you close and open accounts every so often, then the bank can get suspicious. I had that problem with HSBC with they had called me and told me that they were going to close all my accounts.
