Changing ID to similar suspended ID

I want to change my ID to a similar ID that I got suspended a few months earlier. Is it save to do this or does eBay somehow use this to link accounts?

I wouldn't change an exisiting account, but you could try creating a new one with a similar ID. Personally I don't think it would do anything, but why risk an acct that is alive and breathing just to get a similar ID?

Im about 99% sure I was linked this way. I used a name similar to a user ID I had years ago with 300+ fb. I hadn't logged into that account in about 3 years and never on this comp, they linked me to the suspended one.
