Want to avoid suspension..don't do this!

From what I understand, these two pulled off one of the biggest, if not the biggest ebay scam..ebay tried to hush it all up.

Wow, that guy got away with a decent amount of money. How could eBay let this guy continue selling for so long.. and with all that neg feedback.. how could other buyers continue to buy.. unless those sales were done so fast no one knew? Wow...

coldfinger 02-03-2007 12:39 PM

I know, its unreal...he had built up the account over the course of a year or so, then did all this just before Christmas..long, thoughtout plan.

Easy, just make your feedback private and no one can see your feedback, then he probaly just left it for people to see after he got banned, to get attention

****ing ebay suspends me because they think im bid schilling and yet this ****er gets away with that much money....ebay you are so ****ed up in banning the wrong people, but yet they let people who do things intentioanlly they let them keep selling.

Question

Has anyone started posting items without problem starting from a 0 feedback? If I start posting using a 0 feedback and posting about 10 items a day, will I be suspended?

Take care

tpayton 02-07-2007 04:09 PM

Suspended

Why did they suspend you both ways? Just for selling high volume until they verified your information?

tpayton 02-07-2007 04:23 PM

Hmmmm

OK makes sense. I'm just being optimistic that if everything is new and I forget about the old, that I can still use my same PayPal with a new email address and stay on. Know anyone that's done this?

Take care

Thought

Not a bad idea, but the problem is that you've got to add it to your listings where you show that you accept PayPal. I don't think it will let you put it in there when you create your listings if it's not existing in PayPal will it?

aspkin 02-07-2007 05:34 PM

You can do it either way. Add the email to your exiting Paypal account, or create a new one. But like me, I think people with already established Paypal accounts would want to keep them. And there is no harm to your Paypal accounts if you eBay account is suspended as well. None that I have seen.

That makes sense Modee, if you haven't read this already, here's a little more on what you're saying. I never really thought about it in this way, but it makes sense to me.

"I do not think them directly connected, at least not yet. Otherwise, EBAY could just can your account the minute they got your email address for payment on paypal. I believe there are laws pertaining to privacy involved there. You have to ALLOW paypal to hand over your information and that is what the linking of accounts is all about."

ebay is on a war path with me, I think im public enemy #1 for ebay, I don't know why because I ship all my customers there stuff. But ebay always find a way to catch me. I did everything as instructed I even set up account from diffrent pc's but after 30 days they still catch me.

Looking at it coolly and logically, it seems Ebay could not link the accounts via their trusted technical methods otherwise they would have used the linked account excuse. They may have suspected they were linked or there was something else that made them suspicious about another aspect so they used a generic excuse to avoid explaining the reason for their unease which they may not have been sure was well founded.

for some reason my last post was put on the wrong thread!

I've just been suspended from ebay and have been searching the net for information on what I can do to fix the issue. In reading this thread and learning as much as I can about signing back up with ebay. One of the things that stands out is the fact ebay seems to catch up to sellers who reinvent themselves even though they use static IP's. Could ebay link the old identity of the suspended seller with the new identity due to photographs of the items for sale? I wonder if what is being sold as well as how it is worded and displayed might be catching sellers up? Any thoughts on that?
