Using ccnow vs. Auctiva checkout with Authorize.net

Does anyone have info about using ccnow vs. using Authorize.net with Auctiva's ceck out?
Does anybody actually use Auctiva's checkout at all?
Also how do we set up eBay account if want to use a merchant account like ccnow? I already linked my PayPal to eBay but want go away from PayPal eventually because eventually they may ask for SS#, eventhough I am verified right now.
Is it for sure that PayPal will ask for SS# eventually? is it because of the volume you make after a while? or what?

Keceli:
Hello, Welcome!
-- Here's the general Consensus:
a.) Most folks prefer the Authorize.net, as its your OWN merchant acct.
b.) With authorize.net- you get your money faster, and the rate is like 2 %,sometimes less
c.) the funds of course go directly into your checking acct, of your choice.
d.) to INTEGRATE with Auctiva---
1.) take your New Authorize.net acct "out of test mode"
2.) Go in and create the Key-- its in the security sect.
3.) Choose Auth + "Capture" (cause you wanna get paid)
e.) Now, you copy/paste that "key" that was just created + go over to auctiva
f.) In auctiva- go into checkout/pref-- you will see where you want to add the Authorize.net
g.) paste in that "KEY" created in authorize.net//
h.) Now, you are good to go, with automated invoices, at auctions end, from this point FORWARD...
(any auctions posted PRIOR to generating that key + adding will NOT get the auto invoice)..
I'm sure I forgot a few things, but I hope this helps!
BTW- for ccnow- its an inital 45 day wait for your very first pyt, then afterwards every 2 weeks.
-- its 4.9%, +.50 cents per transaction
--- they DO take paypal on your behalf- so thats a positive
-- They do pay in time
Good Luck!

They're both good to use. Once you got one setup, all you need to do is send a merchant statment to eBay to verify and you're good to go. Read the Paypal Alternatives Guide for more info.

aspkin what is a merchant statement? Why do I have to send it to ebay to get it verified? I want to use ccnow instead of paypal itself kuz with ccnow you can accept paypal pamymnets directly. Can you tell me how to do this step by step?
