| | | | | unfortuantemistake | 11-27-2010 10:30 PM | Anyone seen this one before? Have yet to come across this before, I have 2 accounts all same info, this one got hit with this today. 100% Feedback, perfect DSR, no refunds issued, no vero items.
Your listing activity has been restricted to ensure a safe trading
environment for you and the eBay Community, as well as confirm your use
of the services meets the guidelines of the eBay User Agreement.
I understand that this process may seem confusing. Please allow me to
explain a little more. We’re committed to reducing both fraud and
negative buying experiences on the site. To maintain a safe marketplace,
we sometimes restrict selling activity, end active items, or suspend
accounts until additional information can be verified or obtained.
These actions are not necessarily meant to be a reflection of your
account’s activity, but rather a preventative measure.
You can review the eBay User Agreement here: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/user-agreement.html
We'd be happy to review your account and, if possible, adjust your
selling restriction to allow additional activity to take place.
In order for us to review your account, I ask that you please provide an
explanation of your business model and your future selling plans.
Please reply to this message with this information.
We appreciate your cooperation in resolving this matter as quickly as
possible.
Sincerely,
John

Probably sold a little more then the normal so they hit you with this to verify that your a good seller. Just write some professorial message to them stating how good you treat your customers, etc.. |
| unfortuantemistake | 11-27-2010 10:50 PM | Account is ID Verified, and also had to call in and answer security questions, went perfect, also requested higher seller limits, answered the questions correctly as well. |
| imjustme | 11-28-2010 01:43 PM | Am I right guessing that you had a spike in sales recently? |
| First Edition | 11-28-2010 07:01 PM | I've had this happen a few times, always on high selling accounts. |
| moneyhungry | 11-28-2010 10:32 PM | they are being touchy lately. i just made a seller ebay account and they said i answered my questions wrong. wanted me to call or chat. i chatted its all fine now but a different account they wouldnt take the correct pin from the automated system. strange night w ebay. i guess the holidays have them much more tighter then normal. this 500 10 item limit is a joke. so i guess im making 20 new seller accounts this week. lol |

| unfortuantemistake | 11-28-2010 11:31 PM | It is a new account, just hit 30 days old, same sells volume since I opened it, all items under 10.00, total of 33 sells, with 27 feedback so far. All 4.9 DSR no refunds or complaints.
No feedback sells, or anything like that.
All sells have been textbooks etc.
I sent them what I think qualifys as a decent email last night, awaiting a response. |
| unknown_user | 11-29-2010 02:53 AM | what are the selling limits on new accounts you think? i have an account with 20 feedback that is a week old and i want to start selling slowly.. however my items are 100-150 dollar range each. i wanted to list at least 5 or 10 a week eventually. |

This account in question, was originally 10 items a month, after answering the questions to have the item amount lifted, it was raised to 100 items a month.
I responded to the Trust and Safety email, which stated I would receive a reply within 24-48 hours, it has been 72 and still no response.

:juggle: | Expect PP to take FAR LONGER than they say...what I do is send in ONE email/fax/etc ONCE and after a 36 hour wait...I almost SPAM the information/emails.
It has worked well for me. I almost feel like PP SKIPS over messages they don't feel like dealing with...so you gotta get their attention. |

I almost feel like PP SKIPS over messages they don't feel like dealing with...so you gotta get their attention. | My paypal limitation went like cake work, I had all receipts, and my account was restored the same day. A few days later is when my eBay got hit with the above, it has now been 5 days, several messages and still no reply, as much as I don't want to, I think its time to get on the phone.
One of the few times I can say its not a paypal problem, this time fault lies on eBay.

| unfortuantemistake | 12-04-2010 02:58 AM | Account was restored, as least 1 of the 2. I have 2 selling accounts with all the same info. Both accounts went down in the suspension, I currently have on back, figure when they get around to responding to the email on the other they will restore it as well.
They did not email me back, I had to call and have my appeal escalated before I got a response, which was that I was reinstated.
Here is the email I received after I called and spoke with an eBay rep, that escalated my appeal.
Thank you for writing eBay in regard to the selling suspension on your
XXXXXX account.
I apologize for the delay in our response to you as we've been
experiencing unusually high email volume.
Your account has been reviewed, and I'm pleased to let you know that the
suspension has been removed.
In order to assist you in building a strong foundation for future
transactions on eBay, we have placed a maximum selling amount on your
selling activity. This is not meant to negatively reflect on your
selling record or account standing with eBay, but is there to maintain a
safe trading environment on eBay and assist you in further growing your
business.
Because you are new at selling at these volumes, we want to help you be
successful and ensure that you are not over whelmed. eBay discourages
accounts from growing too quickly. By gradually increasing your limit
as you increase your sales history, we help ensure that sellers maintain
positive feedback as they sell in larger volumes.
The account will be able to list or sell up to $2,000 or 50 items every
calendar month.
At this time, you should not hit your maximum amount unless you
dramatically increase your sales. We believe that this amount is
flexible enough to allow you to sell your current items and is in
accordance with the volume you may have previously listed. Please work
within this amount for at least 30 days. If you do want to increase
your sales after that, please reply to this message and we will be more
than happy to review your account again for an increase. Some of the
factors we take into consideration are feedback and compliance with eBay
policies.
In the meantime, we encourage you to continue to maintain excellent
feedback and continue to build a strong selling history. We look
forward to building a successful relationship with you on eBay!
Sincerely,
Jon
