Can I just have my friend sell for me on his account?

I have recently been suspended from ebay and was wondering if I could have my friend list stuff for me? He lives fairly close to me and was wondering if they saw someone that lives that close was selling the same things I used to sell if that would throw up any red flags? Anybody ever do this? By the way tons of great info on this board, have already learned so much by reading through the all of the threads.

Welcome to the forums.

Simpel answer: yes. Long answer: I would not do it - why were you suspended? You have to analyze your own activity - better to set up new accounts without putting your friend's at risk.

But hey, you are free to do what you have to do - people have done it before but it's not the greatest way to keep a better hold on eb.

All the best.

Thanks for the quick reply rsot. I was suspended due to too many low DSR's. Like you said I just dont want to compromise his account in any way so if that is a possibility I wont do it. I think I have a better hold on things now and know what I was doing wrong so I dont think it will be a problem in the future though. Do you think it will look suspicious to ebay that someone down the street is all of the sudden selling all of the same things I was selling just last month?

i agree with rsot

Only looks suspicious if you post exact same item - vary your pictures, your text, etc.

Again - keep a better hold of your business. I always prefer having my own account but if you wish to use your friend's, all the best.

I still would not promote this way but it has been done.

I would rather have my own account, especially if you're selling vero items, i wouldn't want to put a close friend at risk of getting in any trouble because of me, but if the items are legit, and it's alright with your friend i'd say go for it. Another reason i wouldn't want to get my friend involved is because of taxes. They are going to crack down in 2011.

I agree.

You have to know why you were suspended and if you repeat what you did you have just sacrificed your friends account.

No way would I do that to a friend.

Go stealth and start from scratch.

Put in the work and it will pay off.
