Hi team,

I got this email the other day! my friend used my account to buy items to build up feedback. He used his name for primary shipping. Once feedback was established I change the name back to mine. should i call ebay back and deny I dont know this person they are trying to link me to. Also I went through the verification and it asked about people I may or may not know. 2 of the questions asked if i knew my cousin with the same last name that lives in the same city. Should I try to deny this? He was suspended also. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thank you

We want to help sellers be successful on eBay. In order to encourage behaviors that will result in success, we sometimes limit, restrict, or suspend activity on an account. When we do, the member needs to address and resolve any concerns that resulted in the limit, restriction, or suspension before buying or selling on any other accounts.

When we notice an association between accounts, and one of them is limited, restricted, or suspended, we may ask the member to confirm their identity. To determine if 2 accounts are connected, we may look at financial information, contact information, or buying and selling activity.

You don't need to contact us to confirm your information--the next time you try to sell, you'll begin the identity confirmation process.

It seems your already on the eBay radar. There is not much you can do once they suspect your linked to a suspended account. You can try but don't be surprised if they freeze your account.

It looks like your friend already had an account, then used your account and changed the name on your account to his name, which was already used on a suspended account. So they linked them together.
