MC021 eBay Suspension
 

I had 3 stealth accounts on eBay. I live I'm the US and used to check/respond to emails (gMail) all the time. Just went on a trip to Italy and logged onto Hotels wifi on iPhone and responded to a buch of customer messages (ie clicking reply (not Logging into eBay and responding), all thru gmail.

Couple of days ago..got an MC021 FPA notice for all 3 I responded to. I have a bunch of other stealth accounts that I did not respond to and are still active.

Can eBay catch you via replying to an email thru gmail? I thought they can't?

Last time I checked, when you click the reply button in your email program, it does not send to the user who asked the question. It used to, but not anymore, it sends it to ebay, an email address like donotreply@ebay.com.

I would always suggest responding to messages on eBay in the site OR to the customer's e-mail fi you can nab it in one of the question messages. IF you do straight ebay message response via your e-mail, you do reply to their main server and it does record the IP whether or not you use an anon e-mail from what I have learned.
