The notice I got said next time I try to sale I will have to verify the account. If its his account cant he just send in his info and everything is okay? I mean they cant ban him just because were in the same house....or can they?
I have not even told him yet, I am hoping I can fix it. | You cannot fix it, you were caught compromising his account.
It is good they want to verify his account so he should follow their procedures, it is best to call in to Ebay and Paypal to explain he was not aware of the unauthorized use and thank them for verifying his identity. They are holding to their side of the agreement by protecting him
To my knowledge there are no disclaimers in user agreements that Paypal/ Ebay consider spouses an 'exception" to the unauthorized use clause.
So if it is handled to honor the user agreements and rules between the parties involved, adhere to the contract WITH intent to prevent future occurances, he should not endure any dings on his account from what I see. But they can do whatever they please unfortunately but my experience has been more effective if I appear to want to follow the contract to the T and of course, assume they do too.
The first thing I do before dealing with Amazon or Paypal is look into the rules and user agreement, then see what the situation falls under.Call and let them know I am already familiar with how they handle it, inform them I appreciate their procedures, then proceed from there in a very gracious manner to whatever else my concern is. Also how I handle it with problem customers
By just confirming they are holding to their side of the user agreement, that has always been the easiest and most effective avenue for me. Others may have ideas of how to hit it from another angle with the same results |
