| saeric | 01-28-2011 10:56 PM | Accounts linkable if using different browsers? I have a stealth account and only use Firefox for that account. I've been successful in selling on that account for awhile now. If I login to another ebay or paypal account from, say, Google Chrome, will my stealth account then be compromised? |
No matter what IP has to be different if on another browser or computer or whatever.
You should really be using user accounts. Just switching browser is ok, but why the risk to an account just to save a few seconds to switch users?
Shortcuts = lost accounts |
saeric | 01-29-2011 04:58 PM | Not quite sure what you mean by taking shortcuts. My situation is that I have a stealth account that I use to sell merchandise on, and another, much older account that I use for everyday home use (buying and selling). I have been successful thus far with the stealth account, but my wife would like to have access to the other account again. Is there any way to safely do this? |

saeric | 01-30-2011 02:57 PM | She doesn't want or need a stealth account. She just wants access to her 10-yr old account.
Will her account be unlinkable to my stealth account if she opens a new Windows user ID on this computer? We would still both be connecting through the same router/modem. |
yes, 100% linked
Stealth or not the same rules apply. The only difference between a real account and a stealth account is the info...
She still needs to follow all the steps of a stealth account or it will link to yours |
oompaloompa | 01-30-2011 03:54 PM | if you are talking about different browsers but on same windows user, even with different ips, there is a small risk...cookies and flash are supposed to be held seperately on their own browser but I would not take the risk in case of leakages...
so have you wife get her own user on the PC and never log in on your user, and keep a log of your ips so as not to mix them... |
saeric | 01-31-2011 03:19 AM | Awesome info! Thanks. How though, do I set up different IP's using the same laptop? |

You do this by going : START>>>CONTROL PANEL>>>USER ACCOUNTS,,,,
It is almost the same for Windows XP,,Vista,,or Windows7,,,,,
Once you ceate a New User Account go to: What Is My IP Address? Lookup IP, Hide IP, Change IP, Trace IP and more... to Compare your IP Address on BOTH Accounts,,,,,,,,,Then Depending on what type of Connection you Have to the Internet (Cable, DSL,Dongle,Phone Line,ect,ect,) you will have to get a New Ip Address (VERY Easy),,,,,,
ALL Of this is in the Stealth Guide,,,It sounds Like you Need to Look it,,, |
saeric | 02-01-2011 01:53 AM | The Stealth book is on it's way! I just wanted to get a jump on things. Thanks so much for the continued info. It's much appreciated! | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 05:58 AM. | |
