Seller Fees Due After Account Suspension

I had my seller e Bay account suspended at the beginning of December. This was the first time I lost an account. After being told that it was going to be shut down e Bay also informed me that all selling fees were due at that time, around $2500. Since that time e Bay hasn't withdrawn any amount to pay for the fees.

Am I safe to assume that e Bay will not go after the fees due?

As a side note, I am very grateful for the stealth book and all the information on this board. I was able to quickly learn how to get back to selling. Thank you to all the contributors and the helpful assistance you provide.

You will eventually have to pay them, or they will send all of your info to a collection agency, and they'll continue to bother you forever. Do what you have to do if you don't have the money to pay the fees.

I have the funds(and have no problem paying. My e Bay account was set to automatically withdraw the fees from the linked Pay Pal account. The Pay Pal account hasn't been closed and I haven't changed or removed the credit/bank account details.

Your 2 options would be to wait until they attempt to take the funds from your paypal account, or you can pay them yourself. It took me forever to pay my fees back in 09, and didn't know they would send my info to a collections agency, they called me every single day for weeks to months.

Welcome mikey.

Since you are in the US, your amount owed will automatically go to collections. Expect calls and letters. Now if you did NOT use your real info, you have other options - a lot depends on how you registered. All the best.

eB ay and pa yp al are notorious for going to collections.

All the details for the e Bay and Pay Pal accounts is my real information. What I find so strange is that I'm making no attempt to hide or get away with no paying so they could easily get the money. e Bay always automatically deducted the fees from my Pay Pal account, but for some reason hasn't for that final invoice amount.

They haven't contacted at all (they could have because all the information was the my real information). Why would they send my account to collections without first notifying me they want the money or just trying to withdraw the amount due from my Pay Pal account, like they did every month for almost a year and a half? It seems almost seems like they forgot about it or something. Again, I'm in one way trying to find away to not pay them for the amount I owe.

But they notified you in December so that's the first notice - it won't go to collections right away - usually 120 days or something.

The invoice they sent me stated that they would withdraw the amount due from my Pay Pal account in ten business days. They haven't even attempted to collect from my account.
