Starting over on ebay with new product sources
 

My business partner and I are about to go to the ASD Wholesalers Convention in Las Vegas next week and I have a question before we make any agreements for new products...

If I have Original receipts, drop ship contracts, or manufacturer authorization for resale will I eliminate my problems with the inevitable bull s*** ebay suspensions everyone has experienced? Or, do I need to go ahead and follow the amazing program Aspkin detailed in Ebay Stealth 3.0 because of ebay's ridiculous methods of doing business because they are going to shut me down eventually no matter what?

I am prepared to do the work to set up multiple ebay and Paypal accounts. However, if I don't have to that would be fantastic. And, I realize that it may be wishful thinking that making a switch from VeRO to other products would make the difference. Before going further I thought I would ask the experts.

Well Reau, i am no expert, but i can tell you from stories i have read and research i have done there have been plenty of legit sellers that have gotten the ban hammer from ebay and paypal the reason... who knows. If i was you i would have some backup accounts going and put some auctions on them every now and then to keep them going and build up some feedback on them just in case.

Since you are going to a trade show you must understand you will also see hundreds of other ebayers doing the same thing.

I would think finding legit products that are not flooded on the market would be the way to go but as someone mentioned I have seen people with 30k feedback get the boot recently. Someone I bought things from with 30k got taken down. 99.0 feedback etc and still gone.

Bet you they had the receipts etc and still got the boot. They were much to big not to have themselves covered.

With ebay and pp everything you do is now a chance.

Mix your newly found items up over several accounts so you can have backup because ebay and pp have become totally insane with the way they run things anymore.

Im reading from the top posts that even with proof of purchase and suppliers ebayers till get booted.

Next best thing i can suggest is create different ebays and paypals and start off small. It will take a while to sell by majority but after three month you will be able to sell more than 10 items per month

This is where it gets nice and you can sell "decently"

You will have to invest time and work or by a pre 07 account which will not have any limits

I was susupened with paypal because of selling too much too quickly, does that mean i am also suspeneded with ebay? Havnet heard a word from ebay.


Question, can i put up another ebay address with like one or two line items and on that listing have everyone click on a link to bring them to a website so i dont have to deal with paypal anymore?

I would start one main account and really try to do things legitly, if no other reason then to say, "At least I tried"

However, if I were you I would also simultaneously create other accounts and have the 90 day "countdown to freedom" start on them.

I was in your shoes 6 months ago and I chose to "do the right thing" and try to do it legitly. What a mistake!! Now I'm struggling to set up accounts and sell within limits and keep up with all the ever-changing BS that is this monopoly game of stupidity and chance.

Also - eDump and PayCrap are not going to get any easier to use in the future. Over the last 4 years they have only gotten more difficult. I expect there to be changes in the future, including requiring every new seller account to fax docs as part of seller registration. It is better to have accounts made sooner than later. Oh how I wish I went on an account-making spree in August 2010.
