MC169 caused problems: Why?

I got suspended mc169 verify and now ALL my customers are opening cases saying "item is ⊗⊗⊗⊗" or SNAD cases... All my items are legit home made so I don't know how the hell it can be ⊗⊗⊗⊗...

Does ebay email buyers when your mc169 verify identity suspended telling them to open cases??? These are the same buyers that were happy with my service and was repeat buyers..!!!! What is happening??????

Does anyone know or if anyone can help!?!?

Ebay will e-mail all your customers yes. You need to get in touch with every buyer and work it out - communication is key. Explain the situation - many will understand. The few that don't, well not much else to do but refund or explain that item was sent.

Yes, I have been on the receiving end of this email (as a buyer) in the past, and the email they send it not pretty, and basically makes the seller sound like a scammer, in my opinion. If I remember correctly, they are told that the seller or the items may be fraudulent, and to open a case to protect themselves.

I totally agree that communication with your customers is the key here.

I have experienced this as a seller, and have received the emails as a buyer. They basically tell the buyers that they may be the victims of fraud and to file claims.

Forgetting the damage this does to sellers, this has to be the dumbest business move I have ever seen any company commit.

Think about it. eBay sends you an email saying that you have been defrauded. Even though it does not say it in exact words, it might as well read "eBay is powerless to detect fraudulent activity on its own website until the dmage is done. Have a nice day and please come again!"

I wonder what percentage of buyers who receive these emails never purchase from eBay again?

The email is downright crazy. I had it forwarded to me once... it's crazy the lies they say and i totally understand when buyers all go crazy and popping cases open
