Longest time undetected?

How long have you operated an ebay account undetected and how many feedbacks did you reach. Any pinball wizards out there- I would like to know as I have just gone underground

aspkin 05-06-2007 05:10 AM

I know Modee and lots of other users have gone for months with no problems. The only problems are usually being linked to another account, or negative feedback. But that's avoidable.

CPUGEEK 05-06-2007 11:11 AM

How about you Aspkin? How long have you gone on?

mattcafc 05-06-2007 12:50 PM

CPUGEEK I'm not sure if you've read this or not, but I've actually stopped creating mass accounts after what I sale (product) is no longer accepted by eBay. My item, virtual currency for online games can not be listed. I and about 1000 other sellers can't stay online longer then a day if we tried. Luckily I make all my money from personal websites. I never put all my eggs in one basket, eBay. EBay only generated about 10-20% of our sales when it was doing 3-4k a day. Though does this mean I know nothing? I've successfully created tons of accounts. If I were to estimate it would be between 40 and 50 eBay accounts. And with each account I learned a little more about how eBay works until I created the guide you've read, and the forums to help you guys out. I've had the luxury to not have to worry about eBay any longer. Business aside, I do have a personal eBay account that's working just fine. I've had little to no problem with this account for about 2 months now.

virtual currency for online games?? What is that??? I'm confused

aspkin 05-06-2007 06:54 PM

It's exactly what you think it is.

So people will spend real money to buy ⊗⊗⊗⊗ money to use in games?

That's correct. It's a billion dollar industry now.

Well goin back to how long have you been selling undetected? Just a month for me... anyone else? Lets hear the success of others!

FeeBay Balling 07-08-2007 01:12 AM

Since my First account was NARU'D I have had an account for 7 years going on 8 now. Currently it has a feedback rating of 99.8 with 4758 total feedbacks left 4531 Positive and 6 Negs. Sad part 5 of those Negs are from NPBs...

Since my first NARUD, I have had an account closed due to linking because of a stupid mistake I made which was due to ebays new rules on how they intend to reduce fraud. It has been mentioned here before about limiting the number of items you can sell, then they ask you to link your paypal account.
Stupid me did and Poof! Gone!

As I stated in one my posts, I try to create and account everyday. I sometimes forget but for the most part I always do. Recently, they have been asking for CCs to be added to "verify" yourself so the creating game has slowed down a bit as I do not want to constantly purchase simon cards, bank cards or the cards from allacess available in Quick Checks, 7-11s etc etc

I currently have a ton of IDs sitting on the sidelines waiting to play with Ebay. As I mentioned in a previous post, they do get to come out and play and most have FB for buying as I like to let them mature first, then it is off to the races.

Hi all, hope you dont mind me reverting back to the subject of selling online currency.

@aspkin, ive been successfully selling currency for an online game for a while now (over 2 years) but as you are well aware ebay removes these listings quite quickly. I normally manage to get up to 100 sales out of each ebay account. I saw you mention using your own personal websites for a certain percentage of sales. I've tried numerous auction houses including ebid etc etc but tbh none of them have the selling power as ebay does. I was considering the option of creating my own, but how to market them and increase awareness of the site? If advertised in game- ban, if advertise on ebay- ban, fair enough you would get minimal sales but my main concern would be chargebacks. As you know these are not tangible items and hence not covered by paypal seller protection, there are many many users who have unconfirmed addresses with low feedback and using your own website would further not allow you to see theyre feedback or leave them feedback should the transaction not go well. What forms of advertising do you safely use to generate sales and show people you are a trusted seller who actually delivers the goods? Also, do you use alternative forms of payment instead of paypal to minimise chargebacks?

I would really appreciate your input, my sales are probably nowhere compared to yours and from a completely different game also.

Many Thanks
Jonathan

I usually dont get detected because I sell a variety of items. I don't sell just 1 group of things. 1 week I may sell "A" of this, then next week it may be"b" of this and so on.

Ballsack 07-08-2007 03:36 PM

I've gone as far as 3 months without paying my bill.

The longest you have kept a new account

Whats the longest you have been able to keep a new account running for,and how do you think ebay are connecting you with a previously suspended user,

powerbid 10-14-2007 02:11 PM

my first ever created account with ebay still exists in full-swing... registered since 2000 good or wat.. i have had other very good accounts suspended due to my own stupid mistakes (due to linking) but the one i m primarily using is since 2005 active.. besides this i have many as backups

How Long Have You Been Back On Ebay

Hello All! I was suspended from ebay last April for selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ earrings and opened 2 more accounts and found those 2 suspended after a few weeks. I changed names addresses bank accounts and opened another account in May and was recently suspended this past Mon. I was going strong for a good 8 months not violating any policies and achieved my powerseller status again after 3 months and seen a few mistakes I may have made. I found this site and got encouraged again because I was a complete mess the first 48 hours and they will not answer any of my emails! I began yesterday following the steps using aol, deleting cookies, changing isp, simon giftcard, new bank account, new name etc.etc. For the meantime I'm selling on Amazon and overstock.com auctions. What I want to know from everyone is have you followed the steps and how long have you been back on ebay without being suspended yet? Aspkin if you can respond how long have you been back on ebay? Thanks and good luck to all!

twdell 02-22-2008 09:45 AM

for me it's been about a month now. i am almost up to my previous sales numbers too. it really isn't that hard once you follow all of aspkins steps, and research this forum. the hardest thing is the paypal account. selling on ebay and staying wasn't too bad. trying to use paypal with the ebay account is a little more tricky.
