Hello xxyyzz (xxyyzz@gmail.com),

Your eBay account has been suspended. eBay took this action after determining that your account was acting inconsistently with the letter or spirit of our policies.

You are prohibited from using eBay in any way. This includes using another existing account or registering a new account.

Any seller fees that are still owed are due to eBay immediately. eBay will charge any amounts that you have not previously disputed to the billing method that is currently on file.

We need you to take action. For more information about why your account may have been suspended and what steps to take now, please go to:

Where did you go wrong? That's what you have to identify or alternatively what are you selling that's raising flags?

The things I am selling are already sold by a number of people on eBay so thats not the problem. I jsut sell them at a cheaper rate.

I think a few days ago I logged into my suspended account accidently which might have got me suspended. But I am not sure only logging in would cause this much problem?

That could be the problem but I tend to think you logged onto your old account and your new cookies and beacons flashed up everywhere. I use one machine for one a/c and change my IP every time. - Works for me

It could be that what you are selling (regardless if other sellers do as well) is considered high-risk by eBay and is causing them to look more closely at your account.

For example, some electronics are considered high-risk. So is jewely, rare coins, autographs and anything that is commonly counterfeited (DVD's for example). There are other categories as well.

When eBay sees low prices on those items on a new account, they get suspicious.

Or, your VPN provider could be on their blacklist. eBay REALLY does not like VPN's. When they find someone using a VPN, they locate the ENTIRE RANGE of IP addresses for that host and ban them.

And, YES, accidentally logging into your suspended account on a new account would do it as well. That is a DEFINITE link.

I didn't realise you were on VPN - I've never used one but I have heard nothing but bad about them. Thing is hon what you are doing is not working. You have to change your game plan. If you keep doing what you've always done you will keep getting the same result that you've always had - sorry, but that's the way it is (unless anyone knows different of course)

I Am not on VPN at all. I am using a Dial-up connection. The item I am selling are usually sold as 260+shipping, I sell them at 230$ including shipping, if that helps.

I just had this discussion somewhere else.... Why if someone is selling the same item @ $260 would you sell it for $230? Why leave $30 on the table? It seems only on Amazon this mistake is not made. Thats just bad business for everyone...

Next time list it for $255 or something closer to the average range...

See, its because we get the same item at 110USD equivalent. And its not a problem if I can understand the system, because the original account which was suspended, I was selling the same items on, the price was even less from 230USD. The gap between in my prices and other's was near to 100USD. I had over 100,000USD business on that account. But unfortunately, a month came in which I got quite a few complaints which lead to ban because of non-seller performance.

Anyways, I know this is not the case, there is something to do with linking.

1st question: Have you received any follow-up e-mail from eb ay?

@GTran - while it's safe to say linking has occurred ha, don't just jump and say you've been linked =) This is not the case yet - 1 time log in could create the link but not 100%...then again, I am not sure if the poster had just logged in once...that also is suspect.

@SSAI, have you received alerts in the past for this item you are selling -suspensions, warnings, etc? even on OLD accounts?

This is what I got today

Quote:
I have reviewed your account and determined that this suspension was
issued under Section 9 of the eBay User Agreement, entitled Breach. This
section states that eBay may immediately warn, temporarily suspend,
indefinitely suspend, or terminate your membership if we believe that
your actions may cause financial loss or legal liability to you, our
users, or us. You can review the eBay User Agreement at the following
Web page:

User Agreement

Occasionally we will take action if we feel there may be a possibility
of unlawful action. However, this is no reflection on yourself, but is
taken for the safety of all eBay members. We realise this is most
probably due to oversight or privacy concerns, but we need to take these
steps to further ensure that eBay remains a safe place to trade.

To be considered for reinstatement, you must submit all of the
following:

1.The Request for Reinstatement Form found at the Web page as well as a
form of identification to prove your identity:

eBay.in - SafeHarbor Request for Reinstatement

2. A copy of your driver's license or other government issued ID, with
your name and address clearly visible.

3. Documentation clearly showing your current address. This can be one
of the following:

- a copy of a recent credit card statement (a copy of the actual credit
card is not acceptable)

- a copy of a recent bank statement

- a copy of a recent utility bill (mobile phone bills are not
acceptable)

4. Proof of merchandise for any items you may have listed on eBay
previously. This can be an invoice from your supplier, a tax invoice or
any other documentation that indicates ownership of the items.

If you are concerned about including sensitive information, such as your
credit card number, please black out all but the first and last four
digits. When doing so, keep in mind that your full name and address must
be legible for us to process your request.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Any contact information listed on the documents you
submit with your appeal must be consistent with the contact information
listed on your eBay registered account. If there are any discrepancies
between the contact information you submit to us and that registered to
your eBay account, you must provide an explanation for these
discrepancies, as well as documentation that confirms your explanation.

Please send your documents via email to : inappeals@ebay.in

OR

If you are unable to email the requested information, please send the
items by mail to the following address:

Attn: Investigations Appeals
eBay India Private Limited,
101 B, Akruti Corporate Park,
LBS Marg, Kanjurmarg (West)
Mumbai - 400 079

Be sure to include the User ID and email address of the suspended
account you're appealing on the documentation you submit. If your email
does not contain this information, it cannot be processed.

Please allow 48 to 72 hours for the request for your appeal to be
processed. Emailing us before that time may result in delays. Please be
assured that any documents submitted to us will be destroyed after the
information has been reviewed and verified.

Regards,

They are fishing. They have nothing on you. Just play their games, if you can get by this , you are pretty much home free from here on in. Make sure you pay your fees.
