Received generic suspension letter from EBAY - what does it mean?
 

I jsut got suspended on one of my accounts but hte reason is a bit funny.

I have used the IP address for this account that I used previoueslly on about 10 accounts with ebay that got suspended so I knew they would suspend this account but I thought I would be suspended for linked account.

I used different info but same IP address and the reason I got suspended is this.

Your eBay account has been suspended. eBay took this action after determining that your account was acting inconsistently with the letter or spirit of our policies.

HOw come they didn't suspend me because of the IP address being linked to another suspended account.

I was selling vero DVD items on this account.

I am puzzled here. Why did you use the same IP and then why did you list vero?
Were you doing a test?

They just say that to throw you off. Most likely it was the IP...they seem to have gotten away from the 'linked to suchandsuch' emails

Agreed, they send messages like this even though you were linked. They have been doing it for a long time.

i think it's just them being lazy and they send whatever email response they have checked at the moment. before i found this forum that is one of the reasons i was given for a linked account too.

Isn't the suspension always right away, if you are linked?

i think they changed there wording of the suspension emails so that they wouldn't want you to know that they linked you using your IP. Maybe they think its a secret on how they link you, WHY would you continue to USE the same Ip over and over:eek:
