New to the forums. Suspension question.

Hello, I've used the threads in this forum several times, but find that I need some specific answers for my situation now, so I have made an account. Thank you in advance for any help.

I recently had my ebay account suspended for at least a year. It was bogus. I'm extremely angry, but life ain't fair. I made a new account that ships to a different address, is under a different name, uses a different paypal, cleared all my cookies and what not, and I also made this under a proxy.

Somehow, they still linked it (I think some of the billing info on this paypal account match something from my old ebay account) and put a restriction. I called and got REALLY lucky and was able to lift the restriction because I got the guy to believe that genuinely wasn't me. It seems like I'm fine now. My question is, do I have to keep using this damn proxy?

I have a dynamic IP, so it changes rather frequently, would just resetting my modem/router (they're all in one) be enough? What if I get unlucky and have it reset to one I have used in the past? Would I be better off setting up a static IP and just keeping it at that? I really don't want to use this stupid proxy anymore (it's sooooooo slow) but I don't want to compromise this new account, especially after dodging the bullet with the link.

Thanks for any help!!

If you have dynamic IP it changes when you reset your router so why do you need a proxy?:pop2:

Welcome to the forums. It`s time to understand the stealth. I use new window user accounts per account.

Record all IP's that you use and which accounts you use them with.

Welcome.

Thanks everybody. One more question. I sell hardly anything. I'm much more of a buyer. It seems like a lot of the advice in here is for people that mainly sell, and sell a fair amount at that. Is just being a buyer going to make it easier for met o slide under the radar?

I will personally say YES without a doubt.

One piece of advice from me is to have TWO fund sources on your PayPal (if this applies in the USA) so you can do instant bank transfers to pay for items. This way you will not have to keep money in your PP account, so if you get a 180 day, you can part ways on your terms.

if you buy TOO much from one account, you raise flags. I had an account for nearly twelve months that I only used for buying. One month I went spastic and bought a couple of grands worth of stuff and I got canned - they linked me though my PP account

I'm too poor for that, so I don't think that'll be happening haha
