MC011 on all new seller accounts???

Three of my stealth account have got the MC011 on the first item I have listed. I had listed the items as new with a 3 day listing and start price of 9.99.

Do all new seller accounts selling new items get the MC011 restriction and be asked to call in order to verify information?

The items I am interested in listing are as follows -:

Shark S3101 Steam Mop
Uniden BC-72XLT Scanner
Hoover UH70085 WindTunnel Pet Cyclon
Razor Powerwing, Red/Black
Dirt Devil M082750 Vision Canister Vacuum
PRESTO 01781 23-Quart Pressure Canner

I never thought the Home and Garden can be a high risk category.

Items listed on eBay USA.

I am listing items from a new Windows user account and have Hide My Ass ! pro VPN.

Please give me suggestions to avoid the MC011.

this is like driving a car without a license plate.....just cuz nobody can identify you with numbers/letters doesnt mean you are invisiable

Plus if you sell multiples of all those cheaper than wholesale you might as well dump them off somewhere else since the VERO guys will probably be all over anything you sell in qty cheaper than they do.

I sold Vacs for a while and stopped very quickly due to this mess. Not worth it.

and does the 3 day duration raise any eyebrow?

Duration doesnt matter on anything.

morningwood 06-30-2011 01:35 PM

Duration does matter. I was told this by many ebay employees myself. 7 days duration is way better and always safer with no buy it now for new accounts. Low duration, new account, branded items and proxy is a guarantee to be shot down. Sell cheap no name items, 7 days duration, no ip hiding software for 30 days and that account would be gold.

Condition of the item does not matter as long as you describe it well.

agree, just one thing though, are you sure only after 30 days and that account would be 'gold'?

Yes, after 30 days of selling your usually out of the red zone. But just dont go list 100 items after that. Its still better to add listings gradually no matter how old your account is. I sell all VERO and learned these rules from experience. =}

How long does the 10 items or $1000. limit on a new account last?

GrannyT 07-10-2011 09:40 AM

Right up until they increase it - there is no set time

not true....its 90 days for new accounts, and in order to raise it YOU NEED to call in. after that you can get it raised every 30 days, but once again YOU NEED to call in

I though only the first month

Gman91189 07-13-2011 08:03 PM

if anything just wait the first 30 days to go by while working on your older accounts... let it "mature"

vigilantex69 07-13-2011 08:05 PM

Is there a 10 item or $1,000 limit on ALL new accounts? I just created a new account today but I am going to wait a week or two to list my first item. Please explain if you can!

Gman91189 07-13-2011 08:07 PM

i always recommend just waiting the first 30 days to go by then start selling in moderation...
but yes it can be done, wait about a week for your first listing.. although i do not believe its the best method
