Banned for no reason I understand
 

woke up this morning a my account was banned? i called talk 2 three different people and they said something like "do to the risk towards eabay bla bla"

1: they will not tell me why
2: i have never sold anything on ebay ever.
3: not open for appeal?

What is up? what could i have done or bought to get me banned and they won't even tell me why (for securty reasons)? talked to a supervisor same thing not even a hint not a date range or anything? been a member since 2004 180 feedback 100%.

Any ideas what the heck

Most likely someone use your address or phone number to open a selling account that got banned.
Most likely someone you purchased something from. Did you have to do chargeback or file claims against any sellers recently? Buy any VERO questionable stuff?

Some long time members claim to get banned for simply logging into eBay from a public network like a school university or public library. If someone else used that IP address for fraud, then that network IP is on the watch list.

the only thing i can think of is someone took my user for ebay india i had a weird message in my in box and i called about it, but that was back in feb? they told me to change my password and everything was fine. no there was no code or message they didnt even send me an email saying why. the thing that sucks is that i just recieved a 15 ebay bucks they day before. i signed up for another account will see is that gets banned. it was just weird they would not tell me any reason why. very weird. if you google my user "msocie ebay" you can see my profile and it was good? very strange

i think ebay has gotten to big for there britches! when they won't even talk to you about the problem. i guess there making enough money they don't need me. i really loved ebay always said it was the 8th wonder of the world really left a bad taste in my mouth!!!

When it's in regards to potential fraud of any kind, they will not speak a word to you.

i got this to this was in my early days just sit back and start over again.

Your last ip unlucky might be match with an old banned ip number. I am recording my ips and they are matching even be rare.But even so it must not what suppose to be by ebay or paypal.

thank you for all the replies. It bothered the heck out of me not having a reason. at least now i have something to blame it on. only prob is i have a static iip so if my new account gets kicked i will have to go to a ip hider=}

Search the forum, you can still change static IPs. Dynamic is just always easier of course.

If you really had to, you can always change internet providers or start using USB dongles/MiFi boxes from cell providers. This information can also be found all over the forum.

what about your ip address did you change it?
