Just got suspended for scheduling auctions

I scheduled like 20 very quickly and I guess this prompted ebay to investigate my account and I was suspended.

20 doesn't seem overboard, have done 10 at-a-clip with no problem. How old is the account?

Ballsack 03-23-2008 02:30 PM

Ten is fine I think but not as many as I did. I've had this acct for about 3 months. This is the second time in a row that I am aware of that scheduling has gotten me in trouble. I have to space those auctions out better. It always seems like when I start scheduling ebay is somehow alerted to my account.

Have 2 separate accounts going now and split the listings...1 account is running only 8 listings and the other account is running another 8.

I know it is hard to refrain from listing everything you got...have been sitting on my hands all week :)

thats strange: i'm using scheduling all the time to list about 10 items per day, but this account is already a couple of years old with good feedback.
not tried it on a new account yet.

i think inventory scheduling is an excellent ebay feature. you can easily list items automatically every day without doing anything and without logging into ebay...

GreenBean 03-23-2008 05:29 PM

steve, it is probably not strange. Ur a/c is older and seems to have less scrutiny.

Schedule in auctiva.

It also depends on what kind of items you're listing and their value. Obviously eBay doesn't like that you're listing 20 items per day, I would cut that in half for any new accounts you create.

Also, work on multiple eBay accounts to spread listing out if you still want to list the same amount.

Guys.. People have posted on here,. they are listing 100 items per day.. I have NEVER been able to do it.. most i have ever gotten up to is 40... at 41-acct gone..

This is on 1 month -2 month old accts..
>. ME PERSONALLY-- I like this rule of thumb..List 1/2 of what your feedback is.. I have been SAFE doing this...

As a Matter of fact- I dont believe i ever listed 100 items/day even as a Plat PS... ?? There is not enough time..photos/descripts...Now, maybe "re-lists"..but then again, i dont think ive ever had 100 items /day not sell all at once, so I have NEVER listed 100 items, in a day--ever..

(Just my opinion, though).. :)

Maybe I got lucky dont know but back in February I listed on a new account (registered since May 07) 35 listings total in one day. I had listed used DVD, video games, and a bunch of cheap stuff I bought at the 99 cent store. I started them around 10 cents for some stuff and $.99 for others. All went through the 7 day cycle just fine. But now since reading on this forum the info I don't think I'd do that again as it doesn't always work out for everyone.
