Heading for an eBay suspension
 

As the heading says, I am heading for an eBay suspension. At the moment, my own account is restricted to 6 ads per month and 2 of my my DSRs are low, mostly because of the snow situation last year in the UK, but also because I had no idea how important they really were. I have been trying to build the DSRs back up to no avail. However, my partner opened his own buyer account and we have been selling our items on that instead. eBay know of the second account and have limited this one to 10 items per month but only because we are new sellers on this account (this is what they said in an email to me). We are doing really well on this account, our DSRs are high and thanks to some guidance on the eBay boards I now have all the tools I need to be a better seller and have better understanding of the DSRs. My question. If we were to shut down my account BEFORE the inevitable suspension kicks in would that affect the new account? Would they realize we had tricked the system and close my partners account also?

You are both now sadly linked - I can't really say how they will treat that 2nd account as they differ in their actions.
I'd go stealth with a couple of accounts as a backup.
It sounds difficult and a gig hassle, but once you have grasped & memorised the basic rules - it's as almost as easy as running your own account.
This is based on a personal acc though - i think you need to be wiser on a business account.

Yeah its only a matter of time. sell as long as you can and in the mean time get teh stealth book and read up on these forums on how to get back up accounts.

No matter what though, dont start a new account until you know how to thoroughly. Otherwise you will be in for a mess for sure.
